I honestly wasn't sure what to expect when my significant other and I booked a hotel in the Great Smoky Mountain area. Coming from a suburb of a big city and being more accustomed to vacationing near or at beaches, my expectations were sort of low. Wow was I blown away.
We stayed 3 nights from a Tuesday until Friday. The room was spotless. The bathroom was large with 2 sinks and closet area, and separate area for the tub and toilet. Granite countertops in the bathrooms. Flat screen tv, extremely comfortable beds, sitting area, and cozy balcony. Decent sized refrigerator and coffeemaker. Overall extremely spacious and comfortable. As others have noted the Inn is off the main road but close enough to the main areas. Very quiet.
The hot tub in the indoor pool area was small so if the Inn is crowded I'm sure that would be an issue. The indoor pool was nice, heated. Sliding glass doors to the outdoor pool area which looks fun in warmer weather. Towels were provided.
We really enjoyed breakfast. Eggs, toast, bagels, fruits, coffee, juices, 3-4 different cereals, choices of flavored oatmeal, biscuits and gravy, bacon. The breakfast room had a tv and fireplace and was spacious.
There was also a game room with a few video games and pool table. The lobby was comfortable, cozy, again with a fireplace and 24 hr coffee.
My only complaint was that I didn't think the front desk staff was friendly. Like, at all. I thought, ok, maybe the check-in person was at the end of her shift and she wanted to leave...but she was there later in the evening when we went down there. We got our key to the room and was told to take the elevator to our floor. No info on the Inn, rarely a smile, nothing. I don't know, maybe it was a freak thing but it bothered me. I've done a LOT of travelling and my expectations are not outrageous, but come on! The gift shop was tiny as well.
We were on the 3rd floor in the corner. Peaceful and quiet!

Thank you for sharing your experience with fellow travelers. It was certainly our pleasure hosting you during your vacation to the Great Smoky Mountains. We hope that you enjoyed yourselves while you were here. The mountains are nothing short of magical. It is wonderful to hear that you enjoyed your large guest room, its amenities, and your hot breakfast each morning. We are so terribly sorry that the front desk associate that you encountered did not make you feel at home. Our staff has an excellent reputation for their southern hospitality and we are sorry that you did not experience that. We hope we are able to make that up to you soon on another adventure to Pigeon Forge!
Yours in hospitality,
