“A Fun Place To Stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2012

We have been there numerous times over the past 6 years and have really enjoyed it. The experience was a little different this time. Starting with check in. Dana was extremely rude. We arrived at 1:30 which was a little early. We were told our room would not be ready till 4:00. I asked if we could have any other room like ours that was available and was told no. We were told they were short staffed in housekeeping. Which you should never tell guests. We had taken the kids thru the drive thru on our way in and planned on eating in the room thus I asked Dana if there was any other tables we could use since the only 1 in the lobby was in use. I was told no that the couches were available, she would not open the breakfast area to let our family even set down to eat. The lady at the table gave us her table. After eating we left and returned around 3:30 and Earl said there was another room available and checked us in immediately. He was courteous and apologetic. We were not alone in the adventures with Dana the lobby was full of unhappy guest that was treated very rudely. The lazy river only had about 6 tubes and not real clean thus we never even used it. We enjoyed the pool and waterslide as well as breakfast. The housekeepers did a great job too. The room had some maintence issues that were resolved rather fast. Overall I feel that one bad apple made our trip a little less enjoyable. We checked out the hotel while there and will be visiting it next time. The staff was great as well as the amenities and rooms. It should be a great total package not bits and pieces.I hope management works on Dana's people skills!!!!

Room Tip: Request pool side!!!!

Our family usually stays here three times a year. We have never had a bad experience. The rooms, lobby and pool area are always clean. The staff is friendly and courteous. gtreat location and convenient parking. Excellent breakfast . My son, who is a future elevator inspector, says the elevators are super and in great shape. My other son loves the waterslides. We planon staying here for many years to come.

Room Tip: we usually get the double queen with waterpark view

We had a great experience at this hotel for a get-a-way weekend trip at the end of June, 2012. It was such a wonderful stay- weather was perfect, hotel waterpark was great, breakfast buffet was delicious. They had a great rate for a King Jacuzzi fireplace suite, very large room and bathroom was almost as big as ours at home! The kids had a great time here and it was nice to just relax while they entertained themselves in the pool area. Lots to do here. I've never stayed at the hotel but we did use their facilities as well. The Inn seemed newer and a bit nicer than the hotel. This is now our favorite place to stay in Pigeon Forge.

Room Tip: Elevators were a bit slow and took a while to get one. Overall, an excellent stay.

This was my first time to Pigeon Forge, we stay at Music Road Inn, everything was perfect. The staff was very polite and helpful. We are planning on returning next summer. The room size was very comfortable, we had poolside view, you could not here the noise unless you was sitting on the balcony. The room rate was very reasonable. Breakfast in the morning, was great. Very nice exercise room. The selection of coupons for are sites was great. The gift shop I was very reasonable.

We stayed here on a Friday evening in June. We needed a place for just one night on our 11 day vacation in Tennessee and called several places until finding this one with an availabilty AND a reasonable price. The fact that it had a small waterpark with lazy river and slide was a bonus! It also had a nice indoor pool and hot tub that was open 24 hours! Plus you could use the waterpark and pool across the street at the Music Road Hotel. We had a basic 2 double bed room and found it to be very clean and nice. It even had a microwave and small refrigerator.

The breakfast was very good also. They had eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy, very yummy cinnamon rolls, muffins, cereal, etc. We didn't have any problems finding a table to sit at even though it was a Saturday morning around 8:30.

The staff was wonderful and even had extra silverware and plates for our dinner that we had in our room. The lobby was very nice with good furniture and decorations.

We would definitely go back here next time we are in Tennessee!

I would agree that with a little bit of attention-to-detail, this place could be fantastic. Just a bit of disrepair here and there but nothing overwhelming. For instance, our mini-fridge was set back into the wall a bit but instead of cutting the base moulding to the contour of the set-back, they just ran it straight across the opening so that when you open the door, there's a 3 inch gap visible. I know that sounds kind of anal but this is what keeps this place from being excellent. Btw, we checked in around midnight and the woman at the desk was one of the most personable people I've ever met! :0)

Room Tip: You might specify which side of the Inn you'd like to be on. We didn't and ended up with a v...

Our family of 72, chose this property for our 2012 Smoky Mountain Retreat. We just wanted to relax, restore, and reconnect with family without a lot of stress. From my first contact with David in sales, he assured me that I could just consider it done. Every request was taken care of promptly and with a friendly, professional manner. This property and Convention Center provides excellent food and service for family-oriented events.

My Premier King room 515 was located over the water park. It was spacious, clean, and the furniture and carpeting was in good condition. I've stayed in 4 and 5 star properties that was not as clean and well-kept as this hotel. My room had a sofa, jacuzzi, double-sinks, microwave, refrigerator, table and chairs, and a bench to use in the bathroom. There was a roomy closet, but no luggage rack. I am very picky about hotels, but this one exceeded my expectations. The only complaint that I had was the mattress. I don't think that I could sleep on it more than two nights. As a couple, we normally stay in Condos in the area.

The lobby of the hotel was a great place to hang out and talk. The front desk staff, especially Jim was helpful and friendly. As I mentioned before, all you have to do is ask and it's done!
Breakfast is provided between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm. There's bacon, cinnamon rolls, eggs, cereal, fresh fruit. It's just okay, but filling. The cinnamon rolls are addictive. The food is constantly replenished. There's no full service restaurant or bar on this property. There's several great restaurants in the area at each price point. We tried the new Joe's Crab Shack.
It was tasty, but expensive if you order crab.

I read a review earlier that there was not info in the room about check out times, pool hours, etc. We found the information on a card in the room. We didn't have any problems connecting to the FREE WiFi! The password is on the card, as well. Remember that you can't buy Alcohol in most of Sevier County. The first shopping area in Gatlinburg has a state store.
There's several local wineries in the county where you can go for tastings and buy wine.

You can park your car and use the trolly to see the area. The traffic at certain times is very slow. Many of my family members went to the speedway attractions, wax museums, Dollywood, Aquarium, fishing, spa, Ober, and shopping. Some enjoyed just relaxing at the hotel and pool. There's something for everyone's interest and budget.

Convention Center: We had our dinners catered at the Convention Center. My family comes from a long line of great cooks. We had the Smoky Mountain three meat Dinner and a three meat entree banquet meal. There was more than enough food and it was all well-prepared and delicious. Terra, Brad, and George provided us with excellent service and facilities to meet our needs.

All in all, We loved the resort, but David, Terra, Brad, George, and many others made our event the best one yet! Thank you!

Room Tip: Odd numbers on the 5th floor will give you a view of the mountains and pool area.
