“Would have stayed elsewhere..”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2014

There was a HUGE problem with parking when the hotel was booked. There isn't enough parking for the hotel. We had to make our own parking spaces due to having a handicap individual with us. We even had a huge argument with a customer in the parking lot parking the way we did (even though we weren't blocking anyone). Having a handicap person and pets was not easy to take in and out of 4th floor rooms. Mind you we had 4 rooms with 2 vehicles. We even paid for the upgrades for pets. On our last night there, that morning, they called our room twice telling us we were to move to another room because they already booked ours. It was our room and our mother/grandmother's rooms that had to be moved. We absolutely refused and if we had to we were leaving. We booked this place in advance and that should never have been a problem. We weren't moved because my sister in law threw a fit and threatened to call corporate. The housekeeping was very very rude. They took the do not disturb sign off of mother's door and threw it under and continued to knock anyway. They barely spoke English and the man was very creepy and stared at you the entire time he was outside. To be a pet friendly hotel there wasn't anywhere reasonable to take your pets to potty. We had to walk around the whole complex to a tiny place of grass that was located beside of Harley. We will NEVER stay at this facility again and we HIGHLY recommend that others stay clear of this place as well. There was no excuse for anyone to have to go through the pains that we had endured, especially when having an elderly and handicap individual. Very thankful that she has a Hover Round. Feel a great deal of sympathy for those staying in this facility that are handicap without one. Having this experience has made us wish we had stayed somewhere else, ANYWHERE else. Good Riddance!

Dear Jhayneswv,

Thank for taking the time to share your experience with others here on TripAdvisor. We sincerely apologize for any disappointment you experienced with your stay.

Let me start by mentioning that we have ample parking at our hotel. Most of our guests like to park near their rooms and at times when we are fully occupied this is not possible. Your reservations were made for a total of 4 rooms for 5 nights for upgraded suites with Jacuzzis and fireplaces. At check in this was confirmed and signed for by your party. All of our upgraded suites are on the fourth floor only. Our staff was never made aware of anyone in your party being handicapped as we would have offered our handicapped rooms on the first floor upon check in. Again, the rooms you specifically reserved are only on the fourth floor.

By check out time on the date of your departure you rooms were called to ensure they had been vacated (standard procedure done by hotels on a daily basis) and since there was no answer housekeeping knocked on your door. We are sorry if you thought this was rude, that was not our intention we simply thought no one was in the room as daily we have many rooms that leave without going to the front desk to check out. There was never such a threat from your sister-in-law to call corporate like you mention in your review. The reason we were able to keep you in those rooms for the extra night is because we relocated other guests who had reserved those suites to a sister property. During the length of your stay our staff was never made that there were any issues as we would have been more than happy to have helped any way we could have.

Please feel free to contact me directly if you wish to discuss this further 865-453-6785. We hope to have an opportunity to welcome you back in the future where I'd be happy to personally ensure that we meet and exceed your expectations.

God Bless,
John Solarz

Adequate, but nothing to brag about. Looks like it might have been a different brand hotel that later became Baymont. If all you need is a place to rest a short spell and are running on a tight budget, this is the place. Breakfast room offers continental style food and the coffee is great. We had to swear we didn't have a dog with us but there must be at least 10 dogs staying in various rooms here

The breakfast included pancakes, waffles, biscuits & gravy, cereals, fresh fruit, oatmeal, grits, etc. The room was extremely clean and the price was great! The front desk people were kind and helpful. Although we didn't use the indoor pool it looked to be in great shape and there were a good number of people using the pool area.
