We arrived on June 23 and our plans were to stay 2 nights. When we first walked thru the door the girl at the front desk said, "I had to DOWNGRADE your room because someone smoked POT in the Kitchen Loft you had reserved and it smells horrible. Instead of being able to accomadate 8, we had space for 6 and no extra room downstair or upstairs. At around 10:45pm (my grand-daughter was already asleep) we were laying down and I heard a noise and when we went to check it out the water was leaking in 4-5 spots coming thru the ceiling from the upstairs bathroom. It seemed as though it was coming from under the TUB. I called the front ask and told the Guy that I needed extra towels to get the water up. (Which I never got.) We had to use our bath towels. He told me That he could not do anything about it, there wasn't a maintainance person there, and he did not have any rooms he could switch me too and all he do was refund my money and me go down the street and get another room. This was at 11:00pm and children were already asleep. He never offered to come up with the towels , he never offered to help us clean the water up, and he was about as rude talking as anyone I have ever known to work at a front desk in a hotel. I work for a hotel in my Hometown and if my self or any of our front desk employees treated a customer like this , you can bet our SUPERVISOR would have been on us so quick we wouldn't know what happened. we are required to try to accomadate our customers first and foremost, and we would never tell anyone ( well all I can tell you is you can go down the street and get another room at another hotel).I understand he said they had no rooms, but HE NEVER EVEN TRIED TO COME AND HELP US GET THE WATER UP, and HE NEVER BOUGHT THE EXTRA TOWELS WE ASKED FOR TO HELP CLEAN UP THE MESS. If this happened at our hotel the front desk person would have helped that customer any way they could have to make it Stayable for them for the night as late as it was and the children already asleep. I repeated it to him the second time he told me to go get another room , that my grand-daughter was already asleep and his words to me were, WELL IF IT WAS ME I WOULD WAKE MY GRAND_DAUGHTER UP AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. He also told me He would refund my money if I went somewhere else. BIG DEAL. It was Too Late. I decided to check out on the 24th instead of the 25th and just go back home, so we checked out on Sunday Morning and the young girl that was at the front desk was as sweet as she could be. I loved the location and I was ok with the downgrade after I saw the room, but the way the leak was handled , was unacceptable and it really made what was suppose to be a fun weekend , turn in to an awful weekend. All I can say at this point is I am not sure if I will stay there again. I loved the location and everything else was ok except this leak incident and I think they should have called me before arrival time to ask me about the downgrade. This bad review never would have happened if the guy would have tried to help me just a little with the water, but he did not care. P. Hart
