“Nothing Special”

La Quinta Inn Pigeon Forge

Jul 17, 2008

Nothing special says it all. Just average. Although from my experience that is a good thing. Hotels in this area are poor. Do your homework and barter. I am sure there are worst places and better places. Hotel room needed vacuum and hallway was worse. Hallway looked like it had not been vacuum in months. Pool looked cloudy. Breakfast is nill and what they do have it is poorly stocked. Customer service was ok. Room was quiet. I would check around and see if I could do better on price, if not I would stay again.

“Poor customer care!”

POMPANO BEACH FL

when my wife and I arrived were we treated horrible by the young lady at the desk. we ask to switch rooms and down grade from the jaquzzi room, she stated that the hotel was booked and they had no other rooms, and she never even looked in the computer to see if they had extra rooms. Well we went outside and called and ask her if she any rooms available and guess what they sure did. this lady also charged our credit card after we went
back in and stated we want to cancel and go some where else.
She hid in the back room calling the manager / owner and she said we would pay no matter what. I contacted my credit card holder and was told that they will have to refund the money as it is classified as services not rendered. I have never in my life been treated so poorly by anyone and I strongly would not recomend staying at this La quinta as it appears they want to cheat you out of your money. It is not good practice to take advantage of the public as word of mouth is the best advertisment. There was availabilty at all the hotels as it is out of season this time of year and there were much better deals down the street. Poor
SERVICE at this La quinta! she also stated that because I could not get the internet it was not her problem and I was on my own. I found it at the hotel across the street America's Best and they were the best.
I am glad we left!

“Just okay.”

La Quinta Inn Pigeon Forge

Jul 11, 2008

From other reviews, I thought this hotel would have been nicer. The rooms we had were small, and not the cleanest I've seen. One of them had a funky smell, sort of an old smoke smell...but the hotel is all non-smoking.
The beds were comfy, especially after they put the new mattress toppers on after our first night, although the sheets we'd requested be changed, were put back on top of the new topper!
They were quite stingy with towels, and the front desk didn't have any. The clerk offered to wash the towels we did have, but it was late and we opted to just use the ones we had again.
The breakfast was good for a free continental, with waffles, bacon, sausage & gravy, fruit, etc. It did get crowed however.
The pool was very unimpressive, and shared with the Motel 6 next door.
Oh, we did get a pair of flip-flops for free...they were under the bedspread. LOL See above about not being the cleanest!
All in all, the stay here was okay, but not one I'd return to purposely.

“A Delight in Every Way!”

La Quinta Inn Pigeon Forge

Jun 20, 2008

This hotel was so NICE! The room was very clean, with plenty of towels, soap, the microwave, refrigerator and coffeemaker right there. We had a room with a jacuzzi and it was great, with mirrors behind it. Hot water was very plentiful at this hotel. You never ran out, even filling the jacuzzi! The sheets on the kingsize bed were my favorite color, PINK! and very soft and clean. The mattress was nice and firm. No noice was heard anywhere in the motel, which meant a restful night's sleep.
We could walk to anywhere from this location.
Making your own waffle in the morning was fun and their breakfasts were really nice, even though they were free. Most of the free breakfasts don't include hot food, but they had gravy and biscuits, bacon and sausage patties, and the wonderful waffles.
I am coming here again in July and will be staying at the La Quinta again!

  • This TripAdvisor Member:
    • Liked — The cleanliness of the room, the jacuzzi, all the towels, tons of hot water, lots of TV channels.
    • Disliked — Nothing, it was great.

“Great location for touring the Smokies”

La Quinta Inn Pigeon Forge

Jun 3, 2008

Stayed three nights in early May on our first trip to the Smokies - great experience - rooms were very clean ; staff really helpful - in fact the manager went above and beyond to make sure all was ok - also, no problem when we asked to see the rooms before confirming reservations - free breakfast was great too. I enjoyed the fact that the hotel was back off the strip which meant it was quieter than others on the front would have been. Would have been nice to have a balcony but not a problem - would stay there again.
