“Last minute trip, Yeah, a room available.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2012

My husband and I woke up and said, "let's take a drive. pack some clothes" Okay, off we went. After a full day of driving around, Fontana Dam, Cades Cove and else, we ended up in Pigeon Forge with no reservations, just driving around, looking at the outside of hotels, we picked this one. It was late in the evening but they still had a room. We were thrilled. OMG, the room was awesome. We were on the 7th floor and we had vaulted ceilings. There was a hot tub in the room (we didn't have time to use) and the bathroom was spotless. The bed slept great and it was nice having a little fridge and microwave, etc. We also didn't have time to use the pool. I agree, the breakfast area was a little congested and I think that maybe a redesign of the flow would be prudent. Although, the breakfast choices were very extensive for a free continental breakfast. I would absolutely stay there again. Pigeon Forge, really isn't our cup of tea, but it is a great base location for the beautiful nature all around. Thank you for a good night sleep.

Room Tip: The 7th floor has vaulted ceilings, giving you the feeling of being in a much larger room.

Great customer service. Old, in need of repair or replacing, bathroom and furnishings. The room smelled of mildew. Crowded and congested breakfast area. Would not stay there ever again. The traffic on the main road was awful.

Room Tip: Tip: Choose another hotel.

We are glad that you experienced great customer service but extremely disappointed to learn that you did not enjoy your stay as much as you could have. At Country Cascades we have recently updated many things in our guest rooms and would like to speak with you personally to get the details of your room and stay. Our complimentary breakfast with made to order omelets is very popular and we apologize for any inconvenience during breakfast time. Thank you for taking the time to review us, and we hope to speak with you soon regarding your stay.

My stay was tolerable. Ryan was helpful. The eggs were wonderful. The pool was disgusting. I would probably come back.

Right from the registration desk enjoyed our stay. Greeted and after being on road for 9+ hours was quickly and efficiently checked in. Breakfast in the morning was a treat, person making omelets was cheery and efficient and agreeable to all requests. Although many children were there for the fourth, hotel was quiet and restful. Indoor and outdoor pool welcomed, especially indoor when temperatures were 100+. Would stay here again and recommend to friends.

My (now) husband and I are set to be married in October, but due to military reasons, we secretly planned to be married in Tenn on 6/26/12. I had booked 2 nights at the Ramada on Prkwy, but once we arrived at that hotel late at night, the night before our secret ceremony, I was so disappointed because the room wasn't at all like the pics on the website. I wanted a closed-off bathroom to get ready in and the hotel was more like a motel, as our room opened out into the parking lot. I explained my disappointment to Justin, the wonderful front-desk employee at Ramada who was so accommodating to call Country Cascades (Ramada headquarters) to find us a room to our wedding day standards. Jackie, the assistant mngr at Cascades had us drive there and stayed after she was off work in order to walk us to our new suite to make sure we were satisfied! The room was beautiful and EXACTLY the way I had imagined for this special occasion, with vaulted ceilings, closed-off bathroom for getting ready without my groom seeing me, and the 2nd floor had a wooden staircase that led into the lobby, perfect for my grand reveal of my dress to my groom waiting at the foot of the stairs. The employees helped us to make it perfect, taking pics of the moment and of our cake-cutting/champagne toast in the lobby after our ceremony. Everything from the omelets at the continental breakfast to the hospitality and pleasant nature of the employees made the whole experience perfect and I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone else looking for a nice Tennessee getaway!

Room Tip: Definitely go for the vaulted ceiling, king suite with a jacuzzi! So worth it and you can watch the...
