“Will DEFINITELY return!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

We loved this campground. The staff was very friendly, helpful and down to earth. They were willing to work with us on the checkout time because we had to pick up a wooden sign that we ordered in Gatlinburg after the checkout time. They allowed us to leave our camper there until we picked up our sign without charging us. We HATE campground that are like parking lots! This one is NOT a parking lot. It is well maintained and reasonably roomy with neat asthetic appeal. It is not far from the main strip in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg is less than 25 minutes away. It is in the perfect location....just off the beaten path away from the town's hustle and bustle....but not too far. We loved the patio and fire ring. They were very convenient. Make sure if you plan to grill to either pay more to get the outdoor kitchen site (which is VERY nice) or bring your own grill. We stayed on campsite #3 with the outdoor kitchen and loved the space...we had enough space to play corn hole :) Our 5th wheel is 32 ft. and we had plenty of room on this site for the 3 slides. I especially loved seeing the squirrels playing during the day, hearing the crackling of the fire and running creek at night. It was so relaxing and peaceful. All our camping neighbors were extremely nice.

Room Tip: Make sure you personally call them if you have a larger camper. They are very helpful in suggesting...

Nice, clean and comfy campground. Staff is very friendly. We stayed in one of the hearthside sites. The creek is wonderful, offering lots of room for the kids to play. Away from the hustle and bustle o town, but near enough to enjoy the city's amenities. This will go down as one of my favorite campgrounds.

What a great campground! Quiet peaceful setting yet only a 5 minute drive to town. We stayed here in a 38ft 5th wheel in site #24 and loved all the space this site offers. All sites have ample room and there are plenty of sites to accomodate big rigs with multiple slides. After seeing all the cramped and crowded parks closer to town, we were so glad we chose this park for our stay. With such a wonderful setting, you don't need a pool or playground if you have children because the surrounding creeks and walking trails provide plenty of outdoor entertainment. We highly recommend this campground. Would definitely stay here again.

This is a great campground, away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Pigeon Forge and the tourists visiting the Great Smoky Mountains. The owners are really great and suggested some beautiful places to hike, away from the crowds. We even ran into them on one of their recommended hikes. I would highly recommend this campground, without reservation. It's just as advertised on their website! If you stay anywhere else in Pigeon Forge, you may be sadly disappointed (based upon the looks of the crowded sites, with no grassy areas, and situated on the main road).

We have stayed here 2 or 3 times and will definitely stay again. We have a class A motorhome and there is plenty of room for it and our Jeep Cherokee. Small and beautiful campground on a lovely creek. Previous comments have complained that there is no playground, well I have 3 six year olds and they have always found plenty to do. There is a lovely creek to fish in or skip rocks, and plenty of yard to run in, kick a soccer ball, and chase fireflies. Playgrounds are everywhere, but I'd much rather enjoy this lovely setting!! My kids always ask to go back there.

Our stay at Up The Creek RV Camp has been great. We love the spacious sites that use natural plantings for screening. There is lots of green space. Both of these features are difficult to find at any of the "strip" rv parks. This camp is a little out of town and quiet. The babbling creeks on either side of the park are very relaxing. The pleasant owners are on site and take pride in keeping the camp clean and nice with fall decorations in place now. A very dog friendly place with even a fenced area to let your pup loose to get all the good smells. If some of the other reviewers had done their proper research they would know before booking that there is no pool or shower house. I applaude the owners for this decision as it keeps costs reasonable. All in all, a very enjoyable stay. One of the best private parks we have stayed in. Would definately stay at again.
