“No Wonder This is a Travelers Choice Award Winner!!!!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

We just concluded a very nice vacation at the Clarion, which we chose because of the TripAdvisor reviews. This hotel is the best example of what a hotel should be. Wonderful amenities, but also professionally run with the customer in mind. It is one of the cleanest I have ever visited. In addition, there is ALWAYS fresh coffee available and the expansive free breakfast is the best. Everyone is friendly from the Manager to the front desk to the janitorial staff. The pool areas are clean and so much fun for the kids. We had an incident with our granddaughter leaving her I Pod on the bed when we left one morning. When we returns that evening, the device could not be found. The front desk personnel took our information and began looking for it, keeping us posted by phone on every step they took to find the lost item. They made sure there was a very successful end to this story. I cannot say enough god things about the Clarion. We Will definitely stay here every time we visit Pigeon Forge and the Smoky Mtns.

We do have amenities and services that people have loved to have when coming to the area and we are always offering something new and something different here at the Clarion Inn pigeon forge. We want people to feel at home and have the best opportunity to create the best vacation memories possible. Part of that is not having to worry about where your staying and what your going to do when you get there, not to mention the cost. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and we hope that every stay is better than the last.

As always this hotel goes beyond expectations. The room was phenomenally clean and had every thing you would need to be comfortable. I love the choice of pillows. The breakfast, what can I say... awesome. There is no need to go out for breakfast when this hotel serves such a vast menu of items. My wife loved the addition of the iced coffee. This hotel is in a great location near great restaurants and even a movie theater. Thank you Scott for talking to us. You and your entire staff truly made my wife and I feel like family and not tourists on vacation. See you in October : )

Room Tip: For those of you who are light sleepers, turn the A/C unit to fan at night. This will mimic a sound...

My husband and I arrived on May 31st and stayed for three nights. We were part of a group of about 25 people (73rd Signal Battalion, Cam Rahn Bay, Vietnam) getting together for a reunion. The General Manager and staff were exceptional in their service. Because we were a large group we had requested a conference room for the weekend and had unlimited access to that room. Scott (General Manager) made reservations for us at two shows, one of which was a dinner show.

The hotel is very clean and neat. The breakfast bar, which is included at no extra cost, features made to order omlets, pancakes and waffles along with donuts, bagels, toast, scrambled eggs, grits, biscuits, gravy, bacon, sausage and cereal, milk, coffee, cappucino and juices. The room is constantly supervised and cleaned. This hotel is 100% smoke free, including your room balcony. Neither my husband or I smoke and love that feature. The pools, lazy river and water slide are wonderful.

Everyone in our group was so impressed, we already have reservations for two years from now, when we are having another reunion and hopefully there will be even more of us attending.

Scott, thank you so much for making us feel so welcome and cared for. This was my husband and my second time attending this reunion, at your establishment, and both times the service was great. Looking forward to our next reunion and possibly coming on a family trip before then.

Thank you so much 73rd signal battalion and we always look forward to your staying with us. Jon, our new groups manager enjoyed setting up your tickets and will always look forward to taking care of your next stays' plans. We would like to Thank the Firehouse subs for their salute to your service and all the men and women in uniform. They are a premier business and place to eat here in Pigeon Forge and their owner understands your sacrifice and service. We here at the Clarion Inn take pride in having hosted the 73rd Signal Battalion and look forward to your next reunion with us!!!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Clarion Inn Pigeon Forge. I booked the stay online at choicehotels.com which was simple and hassle free. They do give discounts for AAA members, which saved us about the amount that the tax was. Our check-in was quick and easy and we were able to go to our room about an hour before the stated check-in time. The lobby is small but very attractive with a fireplace, piano, and seating area. The staff was courteous and helpful, and the front desk offers a lot of discounts to local attractions. The room was spacious and very clean! We were given a handicap room, so I can't speak for the size of standard rooms. There is a small balcony with two chairs, which was nice, especially if your room is on the back side of the hotel. The hot breakfast had a nice variety and although it wasn't the best breakfast I've had, it is included in the price of the stay, so it was good enough for me! There is a very nice indoor/outdoor pool area with two hot tubs and a sitting area with a fire pit. There's also a fun looking slide, so if you have children they will love it. It did get a little crowded at night, so we didn't hang out too long in the hot tub.
All in all, we had a great experience at the Clarion Inn and would recommend it to our friends and family.

*Word of caution: This hotel is in the middle of Pigeon Forge, right off the main strip, so if you are looking for a quiet mountain retreat, you may want to look elsewhere. On the other hand, if you are looking for convenience, the hotel is in an ideal location.

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side of the hotel will probably be quieter. There is a Harley Davidson store and b...

We stayed at the Clarion Inn Pigeon Forge, TN near Dollywood. This place was great!! The breakfast had everything Omelets made by your request, Krispy Cream donuts, bacon, sausage, cereal, gravy, yogurt, juice all types of milk, coffees, etc. nothing was missing. It was very clean. The pools both inside and out provided much fun for the kids and adults alike. They have a cool waterpark and the kids liked it much better than Dollywood. They offer many discounts to local attraction. The evening get together offered popcorn and cookies. Easy access to the Parkway was nice too. I can't say enough. The spa really helped me with a bad back.

Room Tip: We stayed in 419.

Thank you for staying with us and for your review. We are centrally located to all the attractions, including Dollywood and the shows here in Pigeon Forge. Our goal is to make your stay in the area an enjoyable one with the least amount of hassle and the most amount of fun. When making a reservation, you should call the hotel direct rather than booking threw a third party site. Many times you will find the rates are the same and sometimes you find out things about the hotel that you would not have found out otherwise. Thanks again for choosing us as your stay!

First off, I don't work there nor have relatives that work there. I am from Indiana and have stayed there two to three times a year since this hotel open, both with my husband and on girl trips. Each year it has been once in January, then July and Labor Day weekend. I have written reviews in the past but this one I am writing is because I follow the reviews on here to see what people have to say and now I am ticked enough to post this on behalf of my husband and I. In regards to a couple of previous posts due to noise, whether it be from outside or inside. We have stayed in room 621 numerous times (our favorite room) top floor, facing parkway, Harley dealerships, bar, go cart tracks and as close to the pool as any room could be. We love facing the parkway. We sit out on balcony during day or evening. Do we hear motorcycles, sure, is it to expected, because the hotel is near the dealership. Can we hear the sounds from the go cart track in the summer, sure, is it to be expected. Hey folks, you are in a tourist town, with activities for tourists. Enjoy the fact that people are having fun. You picked this hotel, you saw what was around it, so don't dog the hotel by your need to complain because you hear motorcycles or the announcer. We have never had problems from the bar by No Way Jose or No Way Joses and never had problems with noise from the pool. Have we heard kids running in the hallway, sure but didn't complain. Have we heard doors accidentally slam, sure, I have accidentally done it myself. We have had other rooms, by the vending machine and even by the laundry and have no problem. Have we had a few problems there, yes they are human and mistakes can happen, but they were fixed right away, quickly, with a smile and apology. In the May 27 post, saying "we have always had a peaceful location", we have stayed at many hotels Pigeon Forge before this one opened, and no matter which hotel we stayed at, whether back up on a hill in a fancy hotel or right by Denny's, and near Dollywood, you are going to have some type of outside noise, it is the nature of the town. If you don't want to hear any noise, then get a hotel in a secluded town, not in one as busy as Pigeon Forge. What's next, people going to complain about the clip clop of the horses hooves as the wonderful carriages goes through the parking lot giving rides to anyone interested and making memories. Oh and by the way, are you going to complain about the hotel when you stay there on the 4th of July, and complain about the festivities. I will be there then and you can bet we won't complain about people coming together and celebrating our independence. So next time you ding the hotel for pettiness, remember how much they go out of their way to please all of us who stay at their hotel. Think about all they provide for us-comfortable, clean rooms with flat screen tv, microwaves, in room refrigerators, comfy beds, down pillows ( and if allergic as I am, asked that they be removed from your room and they will do it), indoor pool with a separate hot tub. A outside pool for the water slide, a lazy river and hot tub. Fire pit with couches, snow cones in the summer by the pool, iPads in the lobby for adults and kids, wi-fi in the rooms, cookies, popcorn, lemonade each night that is free. Free daily newspapers, wonderful full hot and cold breakfast, with omelets made to order. And clean, they keep the breakfast area clean and food stocked up. Massage chairs, treadmills, exercise bikes, business area, spa on site, friendly staff, man doing drawings in the lobby,a s piano, books to read if you need a book, discount coupons and I know I have not named everything. If you leave your do not disturb on your door, they will leave a bag of clean towels, etc right on your door. You say that your person checking you out wasn't friendly, put yourself in their shoes, maybe they were having a bad night, maybe they had a sick child at home, should they have been "annoyed" as you called them, no but they are human. DId you smile at them and try to carry on a friendly conversation without just complaining about what previously happened or might happen. Yes, those things happen and a lot of time it happens more when made through Choice hotels versus making your reservation straight with hotel, again it's no reflection on the staff. I learn from past hotels that if you use your debit card to hold your reservation, you have a hold differently on your debit card than if you put it on a credit card to give the hotel time to verify there is no damage to your room. If you thought there was to much noise at your room, why didn't you take s minute from your time and let the front desk know, maybe they could have moved you? So next time you write a review, stop and ask yourself, if you had a issue, did I do what I needed to to fix the problem, if the problem could be fixed or was it a problem that is beyond the hotels means to control it, like the sounds from the amusements or the Harley's. When you check in, just enjoy your time in this great hotel and if you see someone without a smile, which is unusual, give them one of yours, a smile goes a long way.

WOW!! What an assessment of the world and the people in it. To be so appreciative of our hotel, your Home away from Home, obviously we are appreciative and thank you. Some people look at a glass of water as half full, while others seem to see it as half empty. There will always be all kinds of different people who see things different ways, but we must love them all...GOD COMMANDS IT AND I BELEIVE IT, That much I am not afraid of. The ever changing world around us will always have all kinds of different views of life and how we interpret it. But as for me and our house we will continue to serve and treat all our guests with the same level of respect and service as we can in all that we do. Thank you for your wonderful and adamant support of your favorite hotel, your Home away from Home. Our door is always open and our House is your House!
