“Christmas weekend with 6 couples”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 4, 2012

This was our second time in four years coming to Pigeon Forge for the holidays from New Jersey. We drove here in about 11 hours in four cars and arrived at the Clarion to be greeted by a very friendly staff, right away we were feeling at home, they guided us to some very good restaurants and warned us about the GM (general manager) that we would be meeting in the morning.
We went for breakfast and was surprised to find an above average choice of items for breakfast, as we were eating a gentleman was coming around and asking everyone how our stay was at his hotel, turns out to be the GM that we were warned about. Scott Ellis is the GM and a very proud man, he has every right to be because this hotel is one of the best ones that we have stayed in. Steve Joyce, CEO should use this hotel as a model for all the Choice Hotels in the country. It has to do with the passion of his GM at the Clarion and should be used as a model for all the Hotels in the Choice family.
Thank you Scott Ellis and employees!

Thanks for your review Ray, and we are glad that the whole Gang had a good time!! We hope they got some Christmas shooping done too, while they were here. Yea, I know what you mean about that obnoxious General Manager the night crew warned you about. He gets around to try and say hey to everyone while they are here and tries to ask if everything is O.K. with their stay. Some people let us know and then there is always one in the crowd that you ask and there is really only one real thing that they need, but are afraid to ask or don't for whatever reason. They wait till they get home and then tell us about it. I can't make their stay a good one or a right one if they don't tell me. I'm glad you tell it like it is, that's what makes customers like you more enjoyable. You appreciate what you have while at the same time if something is wrong, I'm sure you would tell us. I am so glad the whole gang had a great stay and there were no hickups with your stay. With the services, amenities, and staff we have in place, those are far and few between, unless you just don't get out much. I'm glad the Jersey gang gets out and we look forward to their next stay. Have a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year....

We appreciate your stay with us, however it is obvious that you are use to staying in the more economy style hotels. Of the top 5 hotels in the area, we were the least expensive during yiour stay with us. There is also only one other hotel that has even close to the breakfast we have. As far as the tempature of the milk, the health department regulates that and we set it to their standards. If another cusotmer let a door stand open before you aquired your milk, we do apologize, and we try to watch out for everyone but we can't help you if you don't let us know while you are here. As far as the massage chair room, it was made for families as well, and thats why we have places for the littles ones to play so mom and dad can enjoy a massage. If you want a more intimate massage, then you should book one in the Spa on the third floor. The massage chairs are free and for everyone to enjoy. We challenge you to compare and look forward to that as we bulit the hotel around customer service and there is not very many hotels that have what we have, and if so, there is normally an additional charge, unlike ours which is free! Thanks for your review and we hope you and yours Have a Very Merry Christmas...

We've stayed at a number of hotels in Pigeon Forge over the years but the Clarion is the best combination of quality for price that we've found. Excellent room. Breakfast very good for this level hotel. Will definitely stay here the next time we visit Pigeon Forge.

We appreciate your review and hope ya'll will join us next November or anytime in between. We are glad you liked your stay and the city loves hosting the band and all the fans from Alabama anytime they are playing Tennesse here. We know the Tennessee fans aren't happy so we pull for our brothers down in Alabama territory as they are going for the National Title. Good Luck on the bowl game, and we look forward to hosting you again and hope you and yours have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!

My husband and I went on our 2nd honeymoon and stayed here. It was only for one night but it was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very clean and I love having a balcony. The breakfast is nice with many choices. Will stay here again. Best hotel in pigeon forge.

This is the second or third time we have stayed at this hotel and will stay here on our next trip to Pigeon Forge without hesitation. The beds are nice and comfortable, the room clean and this time of year was very quiet. The breakfast alone would cost a couple $20.00 + at any of the restaurant's close by.They have free USA today and Wall street journal, plus local paper .Also, the small frig.in the room had two bottles of water at no charge.I left my laptop in the room by the door (I thought my wife had it and she thought I had it) and the person cleaning the room turned it in to the front desk and they called me quickly, which prevented me from getting home and then having to make a three hour drive back. You won't go wrong staying here.

Thank You for your review, we sometimes have people that aren't familier enough with the area to understand what real value is. Of the top five hotels in the area with the most service and amenities, not to mention clean, we had the best rate during the Thanksgiving Holidays and we deliver the best breakfast in town. Some people who have an unusual experience or don't feel well while on vacation or are not aware of their surroundings. We are all glad that you and your family does, unlike some reviewers who just had to ask management or I (the general manager) to address a concern or problem and we would have. We are glad you chose us for your stay and we are looking forward to your return. Have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!

My wife and daughter stayed at the Clarion Inn in Pigeon Forge for 3 nights in October (8th-10th). I had researched it before and felt it would be a nice option when we visited the area. When the girls were able to have a Mom-Daughter extended weekend, I felt it would be a perfect time to stay. I am happy to report that all of the positive things I had read before were well-founded.

Upon checkin, the hotel was extremely clean and the rooms were spacious. The breakfast was excellent with numerous choices. Both of my ladies liked the made to order options they had as well.

My wife raved at the level of service she received. The manager( Scott, I believe) was super friendly and helpful. He offered discount tickets and suggestions on places to go, and was willing to answer any questions. Also, they made our daughter feel special, which we both appreciated.

The next time we travel to Pigeon Forge, I look forward to having my own stay at this hotel!

We are glad we could take care of the family in style, wheather it's a girls' day out for shopping or the guys for a round of golf, we want that stay to be perfect for quality time with family and friends. We have a broad array of services to help anyone put together that special time or event such as a birthday, annavesary, wedding, or family reunion. We want everyone to enjoy the beauty of the Smokey Mountains here in East Tennessee and at the same time have a Home away from Home they can gather at for a place to stay. We hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, and we will see you back her at the" Most Fun Place to stay in the SMOKIES"....

I am a member of a coaster club, and travel the country extensively. This hotel is ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS in every regard. A beautiful hotel, a bit off the main road, with wonderfully comfortable beds and beautifully appointed rooms. The breakfast offered is OUTSTANDING. Made to order omelets; an extensive array of choices. My favorite part is the pool/hot tub are open until 2AM. I could come back from Dollywood and de-stress. Customer Service is outstanding. We forgot to take down the "do not disturb" sign one day when leaving for the park. Upon return, we found a large bundle of towels, toiletries, and coffee/tea tied to our door. Incredible.

Room Tip: I doubt there is a bad room in the hotel. We stayed in a basic double queen, and it is beautiful...
