I have stayed here numerous times and written numerous reviews, however this last time from May 31-June 2 will be our last.
The whole reason that I stay here is because of the quiet and the creek. That being said....
The first night a huge group of motorcyclists came in late at night waking up what I feel like was everyone in the hotel.
The creek? It has been built up since our last visit with large rocks, for I what I feel like is to control erosion, and I get that. There is no spot to get in the creek and wade at Creekstone. We had to go up to Smoky Shadows to "put in" to tube or even wade in the water.
Got out of the shower the first night and walking around in the room all of the soles of our feet were BLACK!! Had to get back in and wash my feet!
The deal breaker? My daughter dropped an earring on the morning we were checking out and while on hands and knees to find it, looking under the bed was a WHOLE RED APPLE (which explained the fruit flies we kept seeing) and packets of ketchup. When I went a few minutes to check out and told the front desk staff, their mouths literally dropped open and were speechless. There were no "I'm sorry"s, nothing.
So thanks but no thanks Creekstone Inn-we will never stay here again or at any of the Smoky Mountain Resorts properties, nor will we recommend it to anyone.
Oh, and they still charge people for the safe even though we had no idea how to get in it, so if you must stay here, be informed!
