“Perfect for our family”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

We just returned from a 4 night stay at Econo Lodge Riverside and it was a perfect vacation "hub" for our family of four. The room was plenty big enough for our family and it was very clean. Our room had a very effective fridge, a microwave, and a coffee maker. It is obvious that this hotel has been remodeled recently as the decor is current (no cheesy wood paneling, etc.) and very tasteful. The shower was great - good water pressure, adjustable shower head, plenty of hot water. The pool area was very well maintained and the kids loved switching between the wading pool and the big pool. I loved the hot tub! I can see how the indoor pool area would get very loud if they pool was full but when we were there it wasn't bad. I liked that the pool was indoors and heated so we could swim even though it was cool outside. We ate breakfast there 3 mornings and were pleased each day. They offered eggs, biscuits, gravy, sausage, peaches, cereal, oatmeal, grits, toast, bagels, fresh waffles, milk, orange juice, water, and coffee. The breakfast area was very clean and there were several staff members making sure everything was running smoothly. We did have to wait on seating one morning but the hotel was very full and we only had to wait a minute or two. No big deal for a good, hot breakfast. The location in Pigeon Forge was great. We could walk to the Christmas Shop and the shops at Walden Creek. It was close enough to be within a 5 minute drive of Sevierville and Gatlinburg but not in the middle of all the crazy traffic jams that can happen up there. Since we were spending some of our trip in Knoxville this was a big plus. This will definitely be where we stay again on our next trip to the mountains. I feel like I got a great deal and a great hotel room!

This was our third time to stay at Econolodge Riverside. The staff is always helpful. The rooms are more than nice enough for the price range. I love the hot tub. The breakfast is better than most. Above all the price is right.

Great stay.

If you book thru orbitz or another booking site you will be given a less desirable room. Nice hotel but they want you to book direct, they get a little unhappy if they have to pay a booking fee or get less than normal rates.

Room Tip: convenient to everything.

With Pigeon Forge having hundreds of hotels picking a good one can be tough. This one was great for us. In the middle of what I would call the newer part of Pigeon Forge. Very close to the better shows and attractions.
The hotel was above average. Nice property and backside has the Pigeon Forge river running along it. The whole hotel and the room was clean and comfortable. Nice pool area. Stayed 4 days and room adequetly cleaned each day.
Best price was found through hotel website and they also accepted coupon that we found once we arrived in Pigeon Forge

We ended up staying only one night here and had booked other nights at a more expensive hotel. I would easily have stayed more nights here because the price was so much cheaper and it was just as nice as the more expensive ones.

Dear Daylily4,

We are pleased to learn that you found our hotel to be a great value! We do offer equivalent accommodations of many higher end hotels in the area but for a better price. As you can see by many of our reviewers, they are pleasantly surprised when choosing to stay with us because of this fact. Thank you for being our guest and we look forward to having you with us for your entire stay next time you are in Pigeon Forge.

We came for the Rod Run and spent 3 days. It was nice and quiet and found the staff real friendly. They keep the grounds nice and the rooms are kept clean. Lots of towels and soap. If you like to eat they have a great breakfast. The price charged for the room was very reasonable and we will return next year.

Room Tip: If you are a choice rewards member don't book through any body else. You will not get your point...

We stayed for the Rod Run and it was a nice motel. We stayed riverside so it was quiet during the Rod Run. The beds were super great with lots of pillows. It was clean and we loved the fridge and microwave area with plenty of space. Walking distance to a CVS pharmacy and the Mellow Mushroom pizza place. The hotel was just before you get into the hub and busy part of Pigeon Forge. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Pool area looked nice although we did not swim. We will definitely use this hotel again!

Room Tip: Riverside room is less noisy. Hotel has 3 floors...steps to each floor. Not sure if they have an ele...
