First, the good news - the lobby and common areas were nice and open, the location was convenient, and the breakfast was very nice - especially the omelet lady! Now, the bad news -
We have traveled close to 20,000 miles in the last 1 1/2 years, and we have never encountered such a "cheap" [my first adjective] or "uber frugal" [my second adjectives] "SUITE" hotel. The "suite" was spacious, but the furniture was of the "Big Lots" variety. The coffee table was the size of an end table, the ficus tree was recycled with the top cut off to make it 3' high, the FULL KITCHEN had NOTHING in it. Every cabinet and drawer was totally empty. There was not even 1 glass to get yourself a drink of water. The refrigerator had an ice maker, but it was either broken or not hooked up. There was no dish soap, just a very small bar of bath soap. When we inquired about the dishes, we found that they kept them behind the front desk because they have had them disappear in the past. Quite frankly, I found that funny! If you saw the dishes, you would not want to take them. The "pot" we were given was garage sale at best. Then there were the single light bulbs with low wattage that had me trying to find more lights to turn on. We had a good laugh at the "soap" we were supposed to use to bathe with. If you weren't careful, it could have gotten lost, if you know what I mean. Two people barely got the use of the tiny soap bar. Forget having any paper or pen provided, and the bath towel were so thin, you needed two to dry off. And of course, with this kind of frugality?, the mattress was of the $99.00 variety. When I read the positive reviews and decided to choose this establishment, I was expecting way more! Compared to the Hampton Inn Suites, Holiday Inn Express Suites, and the Fairfield Inn Suites, this is NO SWEET SUITE! In fact, the Hampton Inn Suite was 10 times better and CHEAPER! But the real kicker in all this was what I saw upon
checking in - they had a TRIP ADVISOR 2012 Award posted. Really? Either they faked it or Trip Advisor needs to go stay there themselves! Oh, I forgot to mention that the first room they gave us had not been cleaned, and we checked in at 5pm.
