I'll admit, I normally stay at Marriott-branded hotels. But when Travelzoo had a $99 deal on a room at the Sheraton, with free parking and a free breakfast, I fell for it. Unfortunately. First the good; it was close to the places we wanted to visit in downtown Nashville. Now the bad: wireless internet in your room costs $14,95 more - no joke! We opted for the free internet in the lobby, but maintaining connectivity was a challenge. The bathroom was not clean and there were numerous black streaks on the white tile and grout - it looked like black mold to me. We found black hair on the tub and neither my wife nor I have black hair. And what a shock to find out the water in the shower was lukewarm...at best. i didn't realize the shower would be cold until the morning....and I figured it was too late to complain. We skipped the "free" breakfast because we figured it was probably the same greasy food we get served when we go to conferences. Yuck!
Stay here if your tastes aren't too high. Next time we stay in downtown Nashville, we'll head for the Courtyard.
