“Just Okay”

Millennium Maxwell House Nashville

May 14, 2008

I stayed at the Millenium for Business and found that the hotel overall was just okay. They tend to cater to small meeting/conventions and as a result service is slow. Rooms were okay, rugs and bathrooms needed updating. The beds however were very comfortable and the hotel provided nice toiletries. Towels where skimppy as were the face cloths. Would I stay there again. No.

“Should call in a carpet cleaner company”

Just returned from this hotel for one night. The Lobby looks good but the rooms could use some work. Mostly the carpet. We stayed in Room # 436 and the carpet was dirty. The bathroom area is small and the sink is not located in the bathroom.
As I walked by some of the other rooms during cleaning time it appeared that the carpet was dirty in there also.

“It's OK..should've stayed right downtown.”

My girlfriend and I went for a "girls weekend" to relax and get away from husbands and kids. When we arrived we stood at the front desk for 15 minutes before anyone behind the counter even acknowledged us. Turns out it was shift change which apparently takes some time to accomplish. We wouldn't have minded so much if someone would have just told us or even said hello.

The shuttle downtown was Awesome! Our driver was really nice and courteous. He also helped us out with places to go and things to see.

The breakfast was disorganized and chaotic. Trust me, I am not one to complain about anything...but this was awful. The host seemed to be so concerned about the people who were seated before us. He made sure that they got exactly what they wanted...one wanted coffee and the other wanted water that was room temperature. He hurried around to meet the demands of this high maintenance couple, and left us at our table without any water or silverware for the buffet. We ended getting our own after 10 minutes of trying to make eye contact with any server.

The rooms were fine, but small. My suggestion is to pay $20.00 more bucks per night and stay downtown.

Checking in the staff told me to wait so they could finish their private conversation. I waited 10+ min. The lobby smelled like a pair of dirty gym socks. The room did not look anything like the website photos. The carpet was nearly black due to dirt. The furnishings looked flea market quality. Bed was so worn out you sank into the middle. Pillows were extremely old with stains and holes. Shower had cracked tiles everywere, rusted faucets. the only chair i had in the room was stained up. Dont try to read a book cause you cant! the ligh tis so bad. Tried to watch TV but the AC was so loud you couldnt hear it. The room service guy was extremely friendly but the $14 hamburger he brought was not very good. Wrap it all up, the location is in a bad part of town. All the people in the neighborhood was either staying there or hung out all over the hotel. 3 am there were thugs in the hallways rapping not to mention the lobby. I would recommend this place for a male travelign alone. I am not lying about what i have written. I travel for work and stay 300+ days a year in a hotel. This one was so bad it made me wright my first review. The worst part is hotwire would not do anything about it. NO refunds, exchange, not even a sorry. This is the 4th time hotwire has booked me into crappy hotels. DO NOT EVER USE THEM. Pay the hotel rates so u can get out of it.

“Disappointing Hotel”

Millennium Maxwell House Nashville

Mar 15, 2008

Let me start by saying the staff of this hotel was very nice and accomadating. However, the hotel leaves much to be desire.
The bathtub was DIRTY. The carpet was DIRTY and worn. DIRTY walls, comforter, pillows, etc. There is no internet access in the rooms.....you have to go to the lobby. It is hard to find a place to sit cause the lobby is full of people trying to check their e-mail! They do not offer valet parking. When I called the front desk to request a phone book, I was told they "no longer" have them in the rooms. The Hotel "booklet" which describes the services is outdated. I called to schedule a massage and was told that they do not offer them. You also had to get front desk approval to buy an "in-room" movie.
I would not recommend this Hotel.
