This is a well manicured location, very close to downtown with out been downtown. The rooms are spacious, they need a little updating. There is plenty of room for reunions, wedding etc. They have a great shuttle service that will take you anywhere within 5 miles. Which means that you can go to Broadway and then get picked up again later.

I too had read some reviews that were less than favorable about the Millennium Maxwell House Nashville but from my experience these were totally unfounded. The staff were extremely helpful and very pleasant and room was comfortable and clean. The only problem I experienced was while plugging in an electrical device the wall socket was a little loose and produced a spark which I took as a warning not to use that particular outlet. It did not alarm me sufficiently enough to warrant reporting the matter. Adequate TV channels and the usual coffee making facility with a free copy of USA Today on the mat the next morning. From my side of the hotel a great view of Nashville which appeared to be around 3 to 4 miles away. Complementary shuttle service downtown which I didn't use so I'm not in a position to comment on. Comfortable bar/lounge and a coffee shop on site.
A tip about the Internet service. There is a free Wi-Fi service in the lobby and I was told an Ethernet connected service was available in room cost of $9.99 that day. I always carry a small signal booster which plugs into a USB port which was showing free open network connections from at least three hotel network signals and also showing other open networks I could have connect to including AT&T in range. The HFIELD WLAN USB, WI-FIRE, 802.11b/g 500m costs around $49.99 and is a handy little device for regular hotel uses. It is quite possible the Wi-Fi signal could have been attained in this hotel without this little gizmo. I certainly had no problem connecting from the seventh floor. Adequate clean outside pool, excercise room and a nice garden area where you can sit out in the evening.
So from a comfortable fairly large hotel with more than adequate parking spaces and a regular shuttle service this hotel at $80 a night (hotels.com). Braekfast not free. I feel comfortably about recommending. One last thing check out was merely a matter of signing the bill slipped under your door and handing it in at reception.

Room Tip: 8 floors and facing Nashville is a nice view !

We'd read some less than favorable reviews of this hotel, but overall it proved to be a pretty nice hotel and an ok value.

The lobby of this large hotel is not representative of the rooms. There was rather a musty smell probably because it's air conditioned and the windows are never opened.the room was comfy and clean and we had free wi fi as we booked with Hotwire. However the decor needs updating as does the bathroom. Our sink also had a crack in it :-(. The soap dish is positioned "helpfully" on the wall for the shower however watch your head I hit mine hard when I turned round - ouch. The hotel runs a shuttle bus downtown which is helpful and v friendly and the staff on reception were kind and knowlegeable. I used the laundry/ dry cleaning service which was very efficient. Overall a good stay but needs redecorating.

I love this hotel! The staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable...my stay there couldn't have been better. Terrific environment and accomodations on site had a laid back style that made things alot more relaxing, especially in transit.

Room Tip: Lots of great rooms with terrific views...hard to go wrong, but pick a high floor (7 or up).

Stayed for three days for a music industry workshop. The rooms were clean and the internet connection worked fine. The staff were very helpful and friendly which was a plus. A bit pricey though even with the AAA and industry discount but not too much. The shuttle was a good thing as I had no car and the drivers were great, no extra cost just tips. The restaurant was good as well and the waitress/servers were great. I thought that the food was a decent value. Over all the experience was good - friendly people that tried to make my stay comfortable which was in deep contrast to their London property in the UK.

Room Tip: Higher floors seem to be better.

Overall our stay was very pleasant.

I booked this hotel through priceline.com as a 3-star hotel in downtown Nashville. While this hotel isn't in the center of downtown, it's well within the metro area of Nashville.

I asked the gentleman at the front desk for a high room with a view of the city. He was able to put us on the card-access 8th floor with an amazing view of the downtown skyline.

The room was very clean and with all the modern upgrades I'd expect. Bed was comfortable, air conditioning worked great, and sink area (outside the bathroom) was brand new. The service staff was very friendly and always there to help when we needed anything.

The only complaint I can think of is the shower. The shower itself was great, but the high pressure from the showerhead in combination with the awkward shower curtain left the bathroom floor soaked after every shower. The service staff was able to give us some extra towels, which was more than enough to fix this very minor problem.

Very happy with my first stay at the Millennium Maxwell House in Nashville. I'd definitely stay here again and definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Room Tip: One side of the hotel faces downtown Nashville, and the other doesn't. Be sure to request a view...
