Just an average hotel, certainly not Doubletree standards. Yes, we got the warm cookies and check in was quick and painless. Although when we got to the room, the keys didn't work. Went back to the lobby and quickly got them rekeyed. When I booked the room, it stated 2 queen beds. We had 4 adults, one was my 19 yr old daughter and 2 kids, my 16 yr old son and 6 yr old nephew. We definitely wanted the 2 Queen beds, just to give us a little extra "sleeping" space. The room itself was spacious, but 2 double beds did not make for a good nights sleep. The pull out couch my son and nephew slept on was much bigger than the "real" beds. When we were bringing our luggage in from one of the back doors, the hallway smelled like a dirty litter box, not appealing at all. Also, they bathroom door in our room was hard to close. They appeared to be working on some of the rooms because they left the luggage carts with their new/old furnishings in the hallway.
On a good note, the pool was clean and nice. The lounge chairs in the indoor part of the pool were very comfortable. The staff was friendly, even while I was complaining about not having the queen size beds which was stated on my confirmation. He asked which site I booked the reservation so they can let them know the description is incorrect. When we came in contact with any of the staff they were friendly.
The location is great if you have plans at the Opry, Opry Mills or are flying out of the Nashville airport. We did a lot of sightseeing around the area, so it was convenient since it was right off the expressway. Another plus, it is in a quiet area and we did not hear any of the planes.

First, I would like to apologize for the confusion on our Double Beds. We go to great lengths to insure all internet listing have us reflected accurately and we are sorry for the misunderstanding. Based on your feedback, it appears you stayed over the time where we were replacing some of our furnishings and updating the guest suites. While your experience with not having Queen accommodations was disappointing, we were glad to hear that other aspects or your stay were excellent, such as the pool, out staff and convenient location. Again thank your for your business and for staying with us.
