“Great friendly Staff - spacious clean rooms”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 days ago NEW

We only spent one night here, and it was our first introduction to Nashville. We could not have been made feel more welcome. Every staff member we encountered was bright, helpful and friendly. Our room was clean & spacious. Our room clock was incorrect and we turned up to breakfast after the doors were locked - once we explained why we were late, they greeted us with open arms - cooked breakfast for us - and as far as we were concerned, it was absolutely no trouble for them at all....they were terrific!

Room Tip: Don't get the top floor- it's the only one with built in balconies - the other floors are mo...

The hotel was recently remodeled and updated. The lobby was large and plenty of room to gather your crew. The hotel was very clean and the staff was extremely helpful. The shuttle to down town was a big plus running from morning till 11 at night. The house keeping staff was very nice.

Room Tip: we stayed on the back side of the hotel and it was very quite, not sure how the front was.

Everything has been recently remodeled and updated. Stayed here 15 years ago and our biggest complaint was a 4pm or later check-in ..."room hasn't been cleaned yet." The same situation this trip. Several people with reservations just waiting in the lobby to check-in. Did get in by 430p or so. What seemed odd to us was hearing a tapping on our door at just before 8am the next morning. It was housekeeping wanting to know if the room was vacant. 17hrs of room rental was on the slim side for us at the $rate. Did see this one same lady walking the hall with a clipboard making notes. Did write in my reservation request for a lower level room close to the elevator r/t family having difficulty walking very far. Asked for the same at the desk when we arrived. Slightly stunned look from the clerk. 40 Minutes later another clerk gave us the key to 910 ...quite a walk from the elevator too. We were just glad to get in. Rooms are very clean and well appointed with two comfortable beds. Free wifi, cold a/c, fridge, hairdryer. Valet parking in the front lot was $20./per night. Free in the back lot. We were told upon making our reservation that parking would be free for us, if we'd try to fit as many mcycles into each space as possible. Our res was made many many months before the renovations and increase in fees. The parking staff was kind to honor our agreement. Did not us the pool. Did have food and drinks in the patio area of the restaurant. Music inside. This was all very nice and food was good. Hotel is within a block or so of many good restaurants and fast food places. Just across the street from the big park where the replica of the Parthenon is. Contains a huge statue of Athena holding Nike in her hand; 2 of the largest metal door in the world too; small admission charge is worth it. A hotel shuttle will run you downtown and bring you back for free ...tip the lady!

The food was great and the dining staff nice if a little thin. The housekeeping staff were wonderful. The rooms nice although the AC a little touchy. Freezing or warm.

The good parking was valet only. According to three of the staff the restaurant has a high turnover, especially for dinner, so they readily accessible parking is valet. We were in town for a wedding and were going to be coming and going regularly so we chose self parking. The parking lot is poorly designed in that it bottle necks on one end and at night in the rain it is very hard to maneuver/ Some of the parking spots in the bottle neck were coned off. We had quite a few hikes to get our vehicle and then a lot of anxious driving to avoid confused rivers. Seems like the guys getting paid to park the cars could do the hiking but the dollar rules there. Pool mostly a drinking area for adults.

Room Tip: Get one overlooking rear parking.

We stayed here just one night on a trip from Southern Pines, NC to St. Louis for a wedding. I booked it because it was close to downtown Nashville and I expected we could spend the afternoon sightseeing and enjoying Nashville and not have to drive far afterwards. In the end, we got in late and only ate dinner (DaSano Pizza... Yum!) before going to bed. So, I was disappointed that I paid what I did to NOT see Nashville, but the hotel itself was very nice. Bed was clean and comfortable. If I had to do it again, I'd stay at a cheaper hotel outside the city. Uber was accessible and helpful for getting to dinner and back- we did not use the free shuttle from the hotel because it was just easier to go exactly where we needed.

Huge disappointment. Nashville is a beautiful city with hundreds of wonderful hotels. I would not recommend staying here. The front desk is rude. It's almost impossible to get someone to answer the phone at the front desk. We booked with free parking, then suddenly it was $20 per car, per night. Which with a big group (there were 12 of us and 4 rooms with 4 cars) really adds up. The total charged to my card was higher than the rate we locked in. Which again, multiplied with a big group and multiple rooms adds up. The toilet in our room would not stop running and it was so loud. We called the front desk twice to have it fixed. The second time the person who answered asked me, the guest, if he should put a work order in for the toilet... as if I would know how he should do his job. We needed to shower so requested someone come look at it quickly so we'd be able to shower without the worry of a maintenance person showing up in the middle of it, an hour later and no maintenance person had shown up. My aunt ended up having to take the back of the toilet apart and fix it for us.

I will give the hotel 2 stars because it is beautiful inside. And the hotel manager was really nice about adjusting the charges appropriately. We also were able to get parking free since no one notified us of the change.

BUT since there are so many other options in the area, and the front desk is rude, maintenance didn't show up, and charges didn't match what I booked...I would say go elsewhere for the money.

The hotel is clean, and the staff except in the restaurant is great. The lobby is very loud such that I had trouble checking in due to the background noise. The worse of any HI we've visited. The restaurant staff is very uneven, from good to very poor. The breakfast buffet is terrible. The first two mornings had hot items that were lukewarm at best and not fresh. For what they charge, this should not occur. The fruit can be good or not ripe. This morning we are heading to the Pancake Pantry for breakfast!

Parking is not clearly indicated. Valet is in front but no indication to park in the back if you self park!

The room is fine although glass shower door was removed, but the metal bottom rail is still present. This is a safety concern.

Room Tip: Don't purchase the breakfast option.
