“Great place for business travel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2014

I stayed here while attending a research meeting at Vanderbilt. It was clean, the staff was courteous, and the amenities were good. I particularly appreciated the complimentary wine and cheese that greeted me late afternoon/early evening in the lobby. The internet was sometimes a bit slow, but otherwise, this was a great place to stay. It's also an easy walk to Vanderbilt and to several decent restaurants.

We just got home yesterday from a long weekend in Nashville. We were there for pleasure and to attend graduation at Vanderbilt. We had three rooms and were able to get them all together on the same floor. Everything was nice and clean, as well as up to date. The hotel offers a free shuttle to the downtown area, which is especially nice if you have a little "too" much fun at the restaurants and bars. The hotel is one of the very few places close to downtown that doesn't charge addition for parking at the hotel. This was the first time to Nashville for some of us in our family and we definitely would like to return......when we do, we will stay here again.

My husband and I visited Nashville over the Fourth of July for our anniversary. Nice, quiet location by Vanderbilt University. Room was clean and quiet with a comfortable bed. Complimentary Wi-Fi. We had a room with a beautiful view of Centennial Park and the Parthenon. There are lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel also has a nice restaurant. Breakfast was great and there was a large selection of items.

Long walk to downtown. The hotel offers a shuttle service that claims to run every 10 to 15 minutes and by reservations. We waited at least 30 minutes each time, even after calling to make reservations. At one point, we wanted to visit Antique Archeology, which was located within the 3 mile radius, and the driver rudely questioned us and tried to talk us out of going. After my husband said we would get off the shuttle and drive over ourselves, the driver said he would take us. We were the only ones on the shuttle and I found this to be quite rude. Another thing to keep in mind is the shuttle only runs until 11 PM. But there are plenty of taxis available downtown and we took a taxi back to the hotel for $10.

Upon check out, I discovered state taxes, local taxes, and city taxes on the bill that added an extra $90 for our 3 night stay. These fees were never mentioned when I reserved the room. I specifically asked if there were any extra fees and was told that the $179/day was the total and included everything.

Nice hotel overall. Would stay again, but wouldn't rely on the shuttle.

We took our annual vacation as a family and stayed at the hotel for a week. Everything was absolutely perfect. Super friendly staff, even accommodated us with our check in times. Big, clean rooms. Loved the pool and gym for sure. Best part of it all was the amazing breakfast each morning at the lobby restaurant. Great central location and even got driven around by the shuttle to and from broadway street. Best hotel in Nashville!

We had 8 rooms plus a late check in. No problems!
Rooms were nice and pretty modern. It was strange to have a sliding pocket door instead of a standard one.
Right on the front door steps of Vanderbilt.
Everyone that had breakfast buffet said it was good

We ate breakfast on Sunday morning before heading home. Walter was the cook making omlettes and waffles. He was so entertaining! Every hotel needs a person like this to get their day started off right! He had everyone laughing from 5 years old to 75.

The shuttle service downtown was great! The drivers were very nice and the ride was quick. Great that it went until 11pm. The rooms were nice size, clean. Staff was friendly. Plenty of parking. Good food options with walking distance. Fridge in the room was good size. Only two suggests would have been better hot water and a more comfortable bed/pillows.
