“Holiday Inn - Close to Broadway”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

This hotel is close to Broadway within walking distance it also provides a shuttle service within two miles of the hotel. As you enter you are greeted in a welcoming fashion and the lobby is very bright and comfortable you have access to internet and always have a free newspaper in the lobby the rooms are very comfortable and the beds and pillows are very relaxing this is not a fancy hotel but you have everything that you need, one of the plus of this hotel is the complimentary breakfasts very good every morning and one of the best selections that I have seen for these types of breakfasts there is also a small pool but you are not allowed to bring drinks to it that is something that should change you should be able to cool off in the pool and be able to enjoy a can of beer at the pool I understand not allowing bottles but cans should not be an issue there is always towels available the pool is very clean but it is crowded at times and you are surrounded by concrete walls one negative was housekeeping more than once we were away from morning till 3 in the afternoon and our room was still not cleaned the hotel needs some updates but overall it is great value, if you want beer or snacks there is a gas station across the street that has a very good variety of snacks also if you are looking for an exceptional meal try the Union station across the street this is a bit costly but the meal is amazing overall we were satisfied and would probably return to this hotel

Thank you for posting your review. I believe you are referring to another hotel, as we do not offer complimentary breakfast, and are not across from Union Station. Our hotel is adjacent to Vanderbilt, across from Centennial Park. We hope you will stay at the Holiday Inn Nashville Vanderbilt on your future trips.

The front desk staff was very nice and gave me a top floor room which started off my stay very good. The lobby was very clean. It was a very busy weekend and the hotel was full parking was a nightmare! The room was kinda small compared to most Holiday inns Im used to but it was very nice. Bathroom had a walk in shower which was pretty cool but had glass doors which can be super nasty(LOTS OF GERMS)! Beds were really comfy. Balcony was ok. Location was ok but I prefer downtown center. Pool was clean and comfortable temp. Our Maid was super friendly and helpful

This hotel is centrally located downtown and close to all attractions. The hotel staff were helpful and the suite was very comfortable and the bed was one of the most plush hotel beds that I have slept it. The hotel was just what I needed for a show in town and a bit of sight seeing. We had an early flight so we were unable to enjoy the breakfast. The hotel price was expensive for this type of hotel, however most hotels downtown were a bit pricy.

We had 2 rooms at this hotel for a bachelor party. The rooms were clean and both had balconies; I think all the rooms have them. There isn't enough room to really do anything out there but it is nice to have. They do not offer a free breakfast (ours was included in the room we booked) but it would be worth the $10 or so for the buffet. They do offer a shuttle service to downtown but it was a waste of time waiting for it, just take a cab. The cab ride was about $12 for 6 people, so not bad. The pool is outside and not heated. It was hot so the cold water was nice. It was nice and quiet and the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable.

We usually like staying in B&Bs for the peace and quiet, but for a hotel this one was pretty good. Nothing fancy but good shop, restaurant, pool on site. The shuttle service was really nice to have, saved some cash on cabs. There was a flood in a neighbouring room in the middle of the night and was woken up by yelling swearing employees who seemed mad when we questioned them about what was going on. Would have been nice to receive a complimentary breakfast or something, but couldn't even get a hold of anyone at the front desk. Overall though would recommend and stay here again.

I can't say anything good about my stay. Hotel is dirty and old, rooms were noisy, staff was not friendly, shuttle was unreliable and price was completely outrageous. Will never stay at another Holiday Inn.

This is a relatively old building, which is located across Centennial Park / the Parthenon and close to Vanderbilt University. I wouldn't walk around the area at night though. The front desk was nice and helpful. The free parking is a plus.
