“Excellant Hotel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013

We were very impressed with the friendliness of every staff member we encountered. Great breakfast, new remodeled rooms, Wonderful area, within walking of some great bars and restaurants!!! The shuttle service was an extra added bonus. However, be aware it is not available on Sunday. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay here next time I am in Nashville.

We were very impressed with this Hampton. Loved that we didn't have to drive to any local sites because they have a shuttle that will drop you off, then pick you up, drop you off somewhere else and pick you up. They will keep repeating the process until you are ready to return to the hotel. They let us check in at 10:30 in the morning! Definitely a great place with nice rooms and comfy bed. Suggest you request not to stay in room by elevators because it can get pretty noisey when the honkey tonkers come in from the bars. They seem to forget they are not the only people staying in the hotel.

This was a great location for pleasure travel. The hotel was quiet even though it was on a busy street. There are many restaurants within walking distance and the front desk provided us with some discount cards for a few as well as some close to Music Row. They offer shuttle service which was great, especially since we aren't familiar with the area and it saved us driving to Music Row and trying to find a place to park. The driver, Craig was very friendly and provided us with some Nashville history. The area for breakfast is on the ground level, away from the lobby which was nice and it was spacious. If we ever return to the Nashville area, we would consider staying here again.

The Hampton Inn located near Vanderbilt in Nashville proved to be a great location for business travel. The area is vibrant and the hotel staff went beyond the call of duty to accommodate me. I had a question in regards to local business when I first arrived and there were 3 employees that immediately helped me with resolving my inquiry. The area is vibrant due to the proximity to Vanderbilt and it provides for an array of choices for dining.

Definitely missing some things that could make it feel more clean/comfortable—namely, efficient light bulbs that don’t give off fluorescent-looking lighting and fake down comforters who’s fake down panels haven’t turned into giant balls rather than flat squares. The fluorescent lighting next to the beds really is awful. It's enough to make you feel like you're staying in a Motel 6.

Room Tip: Don't stay on the first floor.

This Hampton was a pleasure. It was clean and had some amenities that I hadn't seen in a Hampton before, makeup remover facial wipes. I had noticed the GM was a woman and thought, that's just not something a man would think of. Sometimes it is just the little things that get my attention. The room itself was immaculate and smelled clean. I'm a stickler for smell and sometimes if the room hasn't been properly aired it can have a mildew smell. The front desk was helpful and recommended a great Italian restaurant just three store fronts down and then we were able to take a stroll with the kids to the Parthenon. The hotel is a block over from the main drag and so it is quiet. Centennial park is a beautiful park to run or walk or take the little ones to run. Breakfast was great and the attendants were quick to clean up. Great stay!

I have to travel to Vanderbilt Clinic several times each year. When I first started going approximately six years ago, we stayed at a couple of other hotels in the vacinity of Vanderbilt. About my third trip (2007) we stayed at this Hampton. My wife and I were most impressed. The building, both inside and out, were modern, clean, and comfortable. The "free" continental breakfast was simply great.
However, the most important emminity to us was the cleanliness, outside the building, common areas, and the room. I guess all hotels offer clean linens (I would hope,) but on top of that the Hampton gives you a clean duva.? (comforter) each and every day. Needless to say, Hampton is always are #1 choice.
