“Wonderful, especially for Vanderbilt visits!”

My teenage son & I made a first time visit to Nashville, specifically to visit Vanderbilt University. I was wary of a hotel that close that offered free parking, but the Hampton was excellent! Every hotel staff member I encountered was helpful & friendly, and the location can't be beat. Free breakfast was fine, nothing to rave about, but I'm a picky, rarely eat breakfast person-my son gave the food great reviews. One of the best little features to me was the 24 hour tea & coffee area. Doesn't seem like a big deal, but it was very nice to amble downstairs & pick from a variety of tea whenever I was in the mood. My only complaint was the elevators-they seemed to be extremely slow. But everything else was great so the elevator wait didn't detract from the overall experience. Area seemed safe, and the university is extremely close, just a couple of blocks straight up. Have definitely found my Nashville hotel of choice!

“Great, Convenient Hotel”

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Vanderbilt for the Marathon weekend and had a great time. The hotel is very convenient to everything, Vanderbilt, Downtown, restaurants... Many times we just walked out the front of the hotel and ventured on walks around Vanderbilt and 21st Avenue.

Free breakfast, free parking, free internet... The staff at the front desk were extremely helpful and pleasant. The hotel even opened the breakfast area an hour early on race morning to accomodate all the runners staying at the hotel. For the marathon itself, the hotel was within walking distance to the start line. That was a great way to start the race!!

Overall our stay here was very enjoyable. I love coming to visit Nashville.

“Excellent”

Hampton Inn Nashville / Vanderbilt

Apr 28, 2008

After a mix-up with the hotel next door (the Marriott Courtyard :( we walked over to the Hampton. As with every Hampton I've ever stayed at, it was excellent for the value. We had two very clean rooms (adjoined) with wonderful beds, flat screens tvs and a nice view. The free breakfast was good, with something for everyone. Loved the Longhorn Steakhouse located almost ON the Hampton property. Also ate across the street at "Amerigos" Italian, which was great.

The front desk staff were all incredibly polite and helpful. Free internet access in the lobby was useful.

We took taxis around town. Average round trip rate with tip was less than $10.

“Extremely Pleased”

Hampton Inn Nashville / Vanderbilt

Apr 23, 2008

My entire extended family recently stayed here for my brother's wedding. We were extremely pleased with the hotels. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The front desk was courteous and efficient. Best of all, we really enjoyed the free continental breakfast. It was more than just the typical bagels and fruit - it had biscuits, sausage, eggs, a variety of cereal, muffins, etc. Also, drinks (coffee, hot chocolate, tea) and apples were available all night long. We were very happy we stayed here.
