“Clean and quiet with good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

Good location on west end. My room had recently been remodeled and was nicely done. Staff was extremely friendly, helpful with restaurant choices and efficient. As far as Hamptons go, above average here. Good breakfast included.

Room Tip: West End facing rooms are not as quiet if you are a light sleeper.

A very nice hotel and a preferred one for University visitors. Very conveniently located to Vanderbilt campus and a host of other downtown destinations. Excellent rooms and amenities. Comfy beds.

Location makes it bit pricey compared to other places you could stay in town. Always bustling with college students, their families and casual visitors. Great breakfast, but too small for the amount of people that gather there every day morning. I remember waiting for the ONLY waffle machine for nearly 25 minutes! The breakfast setup is not very scalable for large crowds, and hungry people ( without caffeine ) usually don't have too much patience. They need to rethink the breakfast arrangement.

Nights were noisy due to the location. The hospital is just down the road and siren from emergency vehicles just added to the misery of road noise, even though our room was away from the road.

Room Tip: Get a room away from the front of the hotel farthest from the main road. Walk Pantheon one of the ev...

I was well inpressed how clean the room was. I like the fact that all bed covers are cleaned every day for everyone. We were in town for medical reasons and we were very contfortable in the Hampton. The medical rate was a help as well.

Rooms are a little tired but perfectly comfortable. Really liked the lobby with the TV and lounge area to wait around in. Business center is good too- just off the lounge area. Breakfasts are perfect and hotel was very helpful getting us an inexpensive ride to the airport that was waiting for us at 6:15 am as we booked it the night before. LOVE the COOKIES and HOT CIDER!!!! Best part! Beds were comfy too although I like softer pillows or having the option of a softer pillow.

Good service. Clean. Welcoming front desk. Very noisy guests close ot our room. Please always put teams, groups of people, athletes in an area away from other guests. I like to visit and have fun, too, but these people were entirely toooo disruptive for all the guests on our end. bhanneken@yahoo.com

Room Tip: Please put groups on an end of a floor away from guests.

We had booked to stay at this hotel but upon arrival and checking in realised that it did not have an indoor pool and with two lively children, this was important to us. It is clear on the website that the pool is an outdoor pool but I managed to totally miss that when booking and so the mistake was totally my fault. It is far too cold to use the lovely outdoor pool (although it is open) so we decided that as we are in the area for a few days, we should try and find another hotel. The manager of the Hampton was fantastic in helping us to find alternative accomodation in one of the other Hilton hotels that did have an indoor pool close by and we did not even suffer a penalty for the extremely late cancellation. Hampton Inns remain our top choice when travelling as the service is always fantastic. Many thanks again.

This hotel is almost on Vanderbilt's campus and therefore walking distance to the college restaurants and bars. We had a room on the bottom floor, which is a basement level and it almost feels dorm-like down there, as our room was dark with one small window. But it was new and clean and decently appointed.
A thing that impresses me about Hampton Inn is they wash the duvet covers every night. This will make me choose that hotel chain over others. The location is great--it's close to music row, fairly close to downtown, it has parking, and your standard mediocre motel breakfast. It's pretty expensive for a Hampton Inn but you are paying for the location. Amenity-wise, you can get more for your money at similarly or lower-priced suburban chains, but you'll be 15 miles out. We stayed in the suburbs our first nights in Nashville and the hotels were nicer but this location is far better for going downtown to the honky tonks and doing other touristy things!

Room Tip: We asked for the quietest room and they gave us a lower floor room (it's one floor down from whe...
