The hotel is clean, and the price is reasonable, for Nashville. There's nothing special about it, but the rooms are well appointed, with fridge and microwave. The breakfast had a nice variety and the employee working the breakfast was very friendly, helpful and efficient. The front desk staff was...slow.

This inn is on a random street 1 block from a main boulevard in mid-town Nashville. There is nothing worth walking to in walking distance. Speaking of random, the guests who stay here are elderly & look like they may live there. They walk around in hospital gowns & the maids wear smocks so the place reminded me of an old folks home. The inn itself is dated with stained carpet, old bed spreads & faded wall paper. Their prices are reasonable but I would recommend staying somewhere else.

We have stayed here 4 or 5 times before and had friendly staff and good breakfast, but it was a different place this time. Front desk staff unfriendly. No hot breakfast as before. Roaches in the lobby and bathrooms. Floors dirty. Must have changed management or something.

Its not an upscale hotel at all but The beds are firm, the rooms are clean and cheap. It was a reasonable cab ride downtown. As there were 2 couples we would split it & it was around $10 total each way. We did have to walk a block to the cab stand @ Huffington hotel but that was very easy. They have a hot breakfast but only from 6-9 so we didn't make it down. Had no issues with the parking garage. The fridge/microwave/bar area was nice and all worked well. The wifi code never worked & the air conditioner put off a slight smell that went away after it ran for a while. The room worked great for us as we just needed a place to lay our head and get ready to head out for a day on the town. The Mexican restaurant next door was wonderful with great margaritas!

I'm not sure what was going on in Nashville on a Wednesday in July, but it seemed that every room in the Vanderbilt area was booked. The Guest House Inn and Suites, however, had rooms available that were more than adequate. Additionally, breakfast was part of the package and most everyone was courteous and attentive. The parking was a bit of a hassle, especially with a broken leg, but that was a small trade-off considering the last minute need for a room with easy access to the highway the next day.

Room Tip: Ask for the top floor.

This hotel is a great value - convenient location in midtown, excellent breakfast with made-to-order omelets, free parking, rooms are on the smaller side but have refridgerator and microwave and the water pressure is strong. The beds are firm and the towels and linens are not luxury but perfectly adequate. Not deluxe but given all the above and the price, a good deal. Recommend if you are budget minded and have expectations in line with that.

We needed someplace close by to pick up our daughter in the middle of the night. My husband had stayed here before on business and had found it just fine. I was a bit doubtful by just looking at the outside. However, the interior lobby was pretty. Our room was very nice with a microwave, refrigerator, and a one-cup coffeemaker. Everything was clean (and I'm pretty picky!). The parking garage is behind the hotel and seemed safe (and was not an additional cost). In our room, though, the hot and cold water were reversed. Once I finally figured that out on the sink faucet, I was able to get cool water to drink..ha! (There was also a bar sink by the microwave.)
The breakfast was amazing....very comparable to that of an Embassy. The omelet I had was one of the best ever!!!! It was HUGE! I couldn't eat it all, although I tried....I WANTED to eat it all because it was *that* good. The bacon was cooked to perfection. Omelets were prepared the way you wanted, by the way. They also offered pastries, fruit, juices, etc.
Coffee and cappuccinos were available 24/7.
If I needed to be in this area again, I'd stay here. Good price for being in the downtown-ish area.

Room Tip: We had a room on the very end. It was quiet.
