We were at Baileys for the UK / Vandy game. Got a table on the balcony in front of the TV, Large screen behind us. We thought we were in the perfect spot. Ordered a bucket of beer and the game came on. One problem ........No sound. By this time it was to late to relocate to another bar, so we stayed. Asked the waitress about getting sound and she said it was on, we just couldn't hear it. But it wasn't on, there was NO sound for those sitting on the outdoor balcony watching the game. Went inside to the bar area to find a table or a place to stand and watch the TV bar. Very crowded in there and no where to stand, and of course no tables.
Since they couldn't provide sound, we didn't order anything else. Can't believe that Baileys didn't spend a few dollars to run some wiring and add some speakers. Oh, and the Large projection.screen There was a string of lights across the balcony and the projection on the large screen had shadows of the string of lights across the screen.
UK fans come to Nashville by the thousands to watch games at the bars. For Baileys to not provide sound and a good view of the game on the large screen is unacceptable. The SEC Tourney will be there for a few straight years after next year, but no way will they get any of our business. The manager proviided a very bad experience for those trying to watch the game. And of course with UK losing it didn't make it much better, but that is not the reason for the review. Just a bad decision by a bad manager, because the people we talked to, none of them will be returning either.
