My husband and I stayed at The Timothy Demonbreun House during our week-long visit in June and it exceeded our expectations. The home is gorgeous and the grounds are beautiful! Richard and his son, Timothy, were very accomodating and were very helpful in recommending places to go and things to check out while we were in Nashville. The breakfasts' were delicious with fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon and a choice of homemade french toast, hot cakes, etc. We had fresh towels and room cleanings daily. The pool is located just off of the kitchen in a private, fence-enclosed garden. The location of the B & B is fairly close to downtown, my husband and I walked to the downtown area and it took about 25 minutes each way. We highly recommend this B & B to anyone who is looking for a comfortable, relaxing place to stay. We could not have asked for better service or would recommend any changes that could be done to improve our stay. Thank you to the Demonbreuns!

My friend held her wedding here. The grounds are charming, the food is okay, but the owner is the most unprofessional and inhospitable B&B operator I have ever seen. He tried to reneg on many of the contractual agreements, he didn't adequately provide for the various events (dirty pool for the rehersal pool party, not enough food/place settings for the wedding dinner, no wedding party table), and he didn't disclose to the bride and groom that he has a legal battle with a neighbor until AFTER the deposit was placed, which completely inhibited a great deal of thier ceremony plans. It was an absolute nightmare of poor planning and unkept promises. If you are considering an event, I would recommend you try other venues; you'll be much happier even if you pay a higher fee.

In search of a wonderful and beautiful place to share a special moment in your life, please check out The Ainsworth Inn. Miss Anne your the best!
I have been in search of a serene place to propose to my wonderful girlfriend for some time. I searched hotel websites one after the other with no luck finding that special place that was warm and friendly and willing to cater to my wishes to make this special moment wonderful for my new Fiancé. With help from some dear friends of mine we were able to set up an unforgettable weekend. We contacted Miss Anne the owner of The Ainsworth Inn and spoke to her about our plans and what she would be able to accommodate us with to make this the perfect weekend. We arrived early on a Saturday morning and checked in meeting Miss Anne and the staff. They were so warm and friendly and gave us a tour around the house and opened their every door to us. Shortly after checking in and being shown to our rooms, I could not believe the accommodations. My girlfriend and I had the wonderful opportunity to stay in the Master Suite which had to be the most amazing place I have ever seen. The master bedroom included a see through fireplace with a master bed in the bedroom, along with beautiful decor and mood lighting. The seating area which shared the fire place to the bedroom had a wonderful couch and chair with a cafe' style table and chairs with a balcony. The kitchenette is found just through the hallway with an attached master bathroom with a shower big enough for four people with double shower heads along with shower heads for your back. The private toilet with a bedea. The Jacuzzi tub is WOW! This thing must be 7 feet around set with Italian decor. The double vanity must be 10 feet long.
As far as the rest of the house each room portrays the rich beauty of the original hardwood floors and trim, the fireplace mantels show off the craftsmanship of the early 1900's. The game room has a wonderful and quiet setting to enjoy a game of pool, air hockey, or just playing cards. The kitchen is warm and cozy with a wonderful spiral staircase that leads to the wine cellar. There also is a built in pool to enjoy during the summer season, also there is a spacious gazebo on the property to just sit and read if you wish. The porch is huge with swings and rocking chairs for the peaceful feeling of being back at home.
Miss Anne was wonderful in accommodating my request to set up a romantic decor for the master suite for our return home from dinner. She laid rose petals from the master door to the master bedroom and also from the door down the hallway to the Jacuzzi tub. The room was filled with glowing candle light and a wonderful chilled bottle of wine with glasses next to the Jacuzzi tub. Miss Anne also placed roses on the coffee table in the seating room for us.
That evening I had planned several different possibilities for proposing to my girlfriend from the boat ride at the Opryland Hotel or even the carriage ride down the lane with all the Christmas lights. There was also many beautiful possibilities of proposing inside the atrium of the Opryland Hotel, but I could not pull myself from proposing to her on the warm and welcoming front porch of The Ainsworth Inn. When we pulled up after dinner seeing the houses lights glowing and the welcoming front entrance I had no choice but to make this our special place. I proposed on the front steps and lead her up to the master suite to where the wonderful surprise continued. I was completely amazed and so was she when we opened the door to the master suite. The details of that evening will forever be a rich evening in our memory for a lifetime to come.
The next morning Miss Anne and her staff shared a outstanding home cooked breakfast with us along with sharing stories and little precious moments of what other couples have shared in her home.
I want to thank Miss Anne and her staff at the Ainsworth Inn for making our special night a memory that will never be forgotten. As for us, we plan to spend that special weekend every year at the Ainsworth Inn for many years to come.
Also many thanks to our friends and family who helped me put a wonderful weekend together for my Fiancé and I.

We read the great reviews and were hoping for a similar experience, but when we arrived, we found the opposite. Ann was not in, and instead we were shown to our room by the maintenance man, who had no clue which one we were meant to stay in. The walls were scuffed and worse for the wear, and there were no toiletries in the bathroom. The whole place looked like it had been renovated some years before, but then sort of shoddily kept up.

Breakfasts consisted of stale french toast and tough pancakes and stale fruits, and when the owner came in to have a very forced chat with us, her old dogs sat on chairs near where we were trying to eat. The whole experience was really weird--she didn't seem to know where any of the places we asked her about were, and we almost felt like we were putting her out when we asked for anything.

Finally when we left, we had to pay in cash, and she gave us an inflated price of what she had originally quoted us.

One other thing to note is that the inn is not near the downtown area--it is at least a ten minute drive, so bear that in mind if you'd like to go out for dinner and have a glass of wine or two. Freeway driving is required.

  • Liked — Not much. Was very disappointed.
  • Disliked — Dog hair everywhere, no shampoo or soap in bathroom, cash only payment.
