...as an experience review, and as an experience, I could not give it less than 5 (the food was actually pretty good too but not what this is about). If you are in Nashville, this is an absolute must do. It is almost impossible to get a reservation, however we lucked out and were actually able to get two - one for 6PM and one for 9PM show on the same evening. I was a bit worried that this might be too much and we would be bored. Far from it! I wish there was an 11PM show too because we would have happily stayed for a third! The two shows were an interesting contrast. The format is a "round" - 4 musicians, sitting in a circle in the middle of the Bluebird who take turns playing their own original music. The first "round" had a very casual, relaxed feeling - almost like we were sitting in a good friends living room and hanging out. The 4 gentlemen who played were each unique and were clearly good friends. The vibe was just really chill and really entertaining. After the show the guys hung out, sold their CD's, chatted and took pictures. The 2nd show had a much more formal feel (e.g. these guys drank water vs the straight whiskey being consumed in the first show and had sheet music), however, "wow". A totally different feel, but still just so much fun. If I were to visit Nashville again I could happily go to the Bluebird every night, foresaking all else! (if I were lucky enough to get reservations that is!). I must also give a call out to the servers who are amazing. Considering the hushed atmosphere, there was no time where we did not feel 100% attended too - water glasses were always full and food / drinks were fast.
