“Amazing! Must visit!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2014

We loved our visits to Arnold's! Exceptional!! Country cooking at its finest. It is family owned, and they make you feel at home and part of the family. Even though they are widely acclaimed, they remain humble and welcoming. There is a line when they open and are only open from 10:30-2:30. We enjoyed pie when they opened and there wasn't a bad choice- they were all great - we had chocolate, chess, and pecan. (We visited them twice in one day -at open and close to closing time.) Arrive early for the best choice as favorites sometimes run out - we missed the rolls as we got there not long before closing. We tried both the roast beef and the country fried steak with 3 vegetables each -- we had mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, and veggie Cajun fried potatoes. Everything was great! The meat portions are large compared to many places. You will get full and have a great meal. The family and staff are also great fun to visit with while you eat. We overheard one of the family say they look for the finest and freshest ingredients they can find to make their meals with. You can taste that in the food! Take our advice and stop in for a meal - you won't regret it if you are looking for great country cooking with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. We will absolutely be back when our travels permit.

“Wow!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2014

We arrived in Nashville on Monday evening and not knowing that it was only open during the day, we were very disappointed that it was closed...so, we got up and got there by 10:30 am, which was when it opened. By the time we left, it was packed to the gills.

Get there early and have a bit of everything.

“Truely an exception to the rule”

It is a cafeteria style place, but everything that I had was a step above for what it was. Tradional southern comfort food that is a step above; unique and quite good.

“Awesome Country Cooking! ”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

The line was out the door at lunch time when we got there on a Thursday afternoon. Don't expect any fancy dining experience. You are strictly here for the food. Its a meat and 2(or 3) sides type place. The roast beef was incredible as well as the fried green tomatoes and mac n cheese! Topped it off with a "ho" cake (aka cornbread made on the grill). This place exceeded expectations. We'll definitely be back.

“A must visit!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

From the rare roast beef which doesn't require a knife to the spicy collard greens and the homemade peach pie this place is amazing. They have kids meals and a variety of food that changes daily in addition to their main menu quick service friendly people outstanding food at a bargain price.
