I think some places get good reputations and are more notable than necessary. While we got there early, there was a line outside and our wait was about 30 minutes. Parking behind the building is discounted for guests but you still must get a ticket from the machine. There was a trio of singing musicians occupying a park bench that entertained; they hailed Tennessee State, and they were quite good. The service was excellent; it's just the variety that's lacking. It doesn't seem so at first, but they don't offer the many different things with the flare that IHOP offers. BUT their service is WAY better. I had the sweet potato pancakes, and they were very good, complimented with a cinnamon cream syrup that also went quite well in my coffee! I do plan to try and recreate this at home. There's more food than you can eat on a plate, and sides are more $$, like if you want any meat with that stack of cakes. The coffee was very good. But it's just pancakes with some blueberries. I don't even think I saw apples or strawberries that could be placed on top. It's a good pancake place, but nothing that would cause me to return to wait in line for 30+ minutes. When we left, there was a line around the corner and down the sidewalk.
