Packed with history and behind-the-scenes anecdotes about your favorite country legends, this 90-minute walking tour tells the real story of how Nashville came to be called Music City. You'll see Printer's Alley, The Ryman Auditorium, Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, Ernest Tubb Record Shop and Hatch Show Print.Your friendly guide is Grammy-nominated journalist and musician, Bill DeMain. A longtime resident of Nashville, he will show you hidden corners of the city not found in any guidebook and tell you stories you won't hear on any other tour. From APRIL - OCTOBER, tours run Tuesday, Thursday-Saturday. “Great storyteller!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

The Walkin' Nashville tour is a great tour to get the inside scoop on the city. My husband and I took the tour this past week and had a great time. Bill is a great storyteller and has definitely done his research. He really brings out the real emotion behind the stories of the history of the city. He has a wealth of knowledge that he has gained through his own personal experiences and he is excited to share it with everyone on the tour. I highly recommend taking the tour, it is super reasonably priced and well worth the 1.5 hours of your time!!

“Walkin Nashville Tour with Bill DeMain - is a MUST!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Bill is VERY knowledgeable about Nashville, the music, the artists, and their roots!

I would recommend this tour to anyone who loves music, no matter what kind!

He truly has a lot of stories to tell that you just won't get on your average tour given by someone being paid a minimum wage salary (example - the backstage tour at the Ryman Auditorium which we did the next day)
Even though we enjoyed it, after Bill's "personal" tour, it wasn't quite the same!
THANK YOU BILL!!

“Gee, Toto, I guess we're not in Austin anymore!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

You'd think that a Texan like me would be beyond redemption but after a walk through Nashville with Bill DeMain I've come back to the realization that Nashville is where American music keeps it soul ... and some of it's deep dark secrets. Now that I walked that walk, felt the vibe of those places and even heard some of the those deep dark secrets from BIll I am born again to the Nashville sound. Bill knows his stuff, he knows the place and he knows a lot of those people in his stories first hand. TIP: Prod Bill for his "bonus tracks" and you'll get the dirty on things like the most crooked man in Nashville.

“A personal touch you can't get with most tours”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

It's hard to find fault with this tour, so instead this review will be overly-fawning. But truly, the stories are wonderful, the facts are fascinating and the pace is exactly how Nashville should be enjoyed.

Strongly recommend.
