3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2014

ROOMS:
Though the rooms were clean, we were greeted by a musty smell as we walked in the room. We had two queen beds which were covered by a dated floral comforter. Next to the dresser was a small fridge and microwave, but yet the room didn't have a safe. We had adjoining rooms and one room had a bigger bathroom counter, unfortunately that was not the room I stayed in. Bathrooms were small and had basically enough space for the toilet, bathtub, and a bit of standing space, but it served it's purpose. The air condition had to be left on all day and night to keep the room cool and air circulation, so expect the unit to be loud throughout the night.

We were with a big group, but someone said they checked pricing on hotels.com and it was about $85/night.

Its not fancy but its clean and comfortable, the rooms are large and I slept well on the comfy beds. The indoor pool is nice although a little cooler than I wanted a heated pool to be. The breakfast is pretty basic but its enough to get your day started.

This is a nice location, the rooms are large and comfortable, the breakfast is a standard free breakfast including waffles. The indoor pool is nice although in December it didn't feel warm enough to be comfortable. The hotel is near a number of good restaurant, my favorite is Caney Fork - good food and a neat decor. THe Grand Ole Opry, the Gaylord hotel, the mall etc is about a mile away so its fast to get there from the hotel, they even have a shuttle to the Gaylord.

This is our 3rd stay at the Guest House and it's a very nice place to stay. The staff is very friendly and the free shuttle to/from the airport and Opryland Hotel is a plus. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable. Pillow are a little flat but you can ask for another one if you need to. The hotel is starting to show a little age and could use a little updating from our last stay 2 years ago. They have free breakfast everyday. There is an indoor pool and outdoor hot tub. T A small exercise room and a small bar but we didn't use them this visit. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance-Johnny A's, Opry Backstage Grill, Cracker Barrel, Caney Fork Fish Camp and the shuttle can take to you the Opryland Hotel and from there you can walk to the Opry Mills Mall (also The Grand Ole Opry is right there). A great location to catch the Gray Line Shuttle in the parking lot next door.

This was my 3rd stay at the Guest House during CMA FanFest. I like it there. The staff is friendly ...the rooms are OK and the location is nice. Could use a little updating but during CMA it's where our luggage stays...we are always out and about Nashville. Johnny A's Pub right across the street is a great place to eat and the Grayline Shuttle to Downtown and LP Field is about 200 feet away. I'll be back again next year!

If you don't want to spend the room rate at the Gaylord or,as in my case, there were no rooms at the Gaylord, this is an option. It is an inexpensive hotel ($108 / night including all fees and taxes was what I paid). However, you get what you pay for - the hotel and furnishings are OLD, The bed was comfortable, the room was large and the A/C worked well. Here's the best thing; the hotel offers a free shuttle to / from the Gaylord. But even better ... they offer free shuttle to the airport - cost me $25 by cab plus the tip! The room rate included a continental breakfast and there is a bar with live music (pretty good) but not open every night.
