Our recent stay at the Best Western in downtown Nashville left a little to be desired. Mostly this is because they are in the process of a major renovation. Naturally, no one let's you know this prior to booking. Here are some positives and negatives of our stay:
Positives - the staff was excellent. Great personalities, friendly, and helpful. A special shout-out to "Rohan". Way to be you, brother.
The room interiors are nice and well decorated. Not huge, but average.
The location is average. Not far from where you want to be, and in close proximity to the rental bicycles.
Negatives - mostly have to do with the renovation - I hope. There was the obvious construction noise early in the morning. The plumbing made a ton of noise - for a while I thought a kitten was stuck in our bathroom. The lobby had water coming through the ceiling. Again, I'm sure this will all be remedied soon, but something to consider if you're looking at staying here in the near future.
As far as amenities, this hotel is best used as simply a place to sleep. They had fresh free coffee in the lobby each morning, but the "business center" and fitness area don't offer much. Overall, I'd stay here again after the construction because it's cheap, and we'd get to screw with Rohan more.
