“Great park! Crappy Neighbors on 2nd Day”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 15, 2014

The park itself was great. We had 2 kids 11 and 9. They loved the pool and the movies shown at night time. I think they stayed in the pool for 4 hours that one night. Mini Golf is small, but it is only $1. We stayed for 2 nights. Bathrooms were VERY clean and always kept up good. The only problem was the HORRIBLE neighbors that pulled in on the 2nd day. Stayed up until 4 a.m. talking loudly with a fire that made it very bright and with their dog barking all night long off and on. Who builds a fire when it is 80 degrees at night anyway?? I don't know if Jellystone makes it VERY clear as to what park quiet hours are and what the dog policy is (they are allowed) . But I think they need to tell everyone more then once upon check in the courtesy rules so to speak.

Room Tip: Spend a tad more money for a tent site with electricity. We ran fans at night and it made a HUGE di...

Campers are asked to be respectful of one another. It is unfortunate that some campers disrupt other camper's fun, peace and enjoyment. We apologize that our Night Rangers did not speak with your camping neighbor. Pet owners are asked to clean up after their dogs and keep them leashed and quiet. Please do not hesitate to phone our emergency after hours number should you be at our park and be disturbed again.

Thanks for bringing this matter to our attention. We will make our staff aware of the problem.

Sincerely,

Jane & Andy Eaton

The first visit was in September of 2013, end of season. Staff was friendly enough. Property including restrooms were clean.
Second visit was October of 2013 and we brought friends with us. Again, visit was okay and there weren't many campers as in September due to end of season.
Third visit was Easter weekend 2014. Staff was still friendly and the grounds clean as before. Not many campers we assumed due to beginning of season.
Fourth visit was father's day weekend 2014. Was surprised that other two campgrounds were packed with campers, but Jellystone was not. When we arrived to our site, the first thing we noticed was that the fire ring was badly damaged and not useable due to someone apparently running over as was evident by the nearby tire marks (it had recently rained). The fire ring was also moved from the spot it was supposed to be and therefore, the ashes were spreadout and were wet from the rain and you had to be careful not to step in them. I reported the damage fire ring to the office and asked that they removed it, bring us another one and clean up the area. While I was shopping, one of the maintenance men came to our RV and talked to my daughter. She said the first thing out of his mouth was "I see you ran over the ring. She told him know that it was all ready like that when we arrived. He again continued to accuse us of damaging the ring. My daughter was becoming upset at the accusation and decided it was better not to continue the conversation, so she shut the door. She could hear the maintenance man continue talking outside that we did the the damage and had a attitude about it. He left without replacing the ring or cleaning up the mess. When my husband found out, he went back to the office and told the manager what happened. He said that she apologized, but never sent anyone down to replace the ring or clean up the mess. Luckily, we had friends camping next to us and were able to have a fire at their site. This left a very bad feeling with us. We have a 36 foot RV and the site we had was a pull through, we had no reason to be backing into the site. Also, from the tire tracks, you could tell that from the angle, it had to be a vehicle parked at the site next to us. We earned a free night after this visit. However, at this point, we don't have any attention of going back there. When we first started going to Nashville in 2012, we stayed at Two Rivers down the road from Jellystone several times which is an excellent place to go and that's where we will stay the next time we go down.

Thank you for your feedback regarding your most recent visit to our park. Our campers concerns, both good and bad, help us to improve the property. We did in fact have a problem with some staff members. Since your stay we have made some changes in our maintenance department and the way they handle issues. We hope that you will try us again with your free night so that we may earn back your trust.

Sincerely,
Jane & Andy

Lots of family plan events, especially for the kids. Easy to get to and close to everything to see in Nashville. Nice pool. Shaded sites. Had issues with electric hookup upon arrival, they had service tech out and replaced outlet within 15mins. Would visit again.

Thanks for sharing your visit with other travelers on TripAdvisor. Our activities program is fun for all but the kids really like it best! This includes some of the big kids too :)! Glad you enjoyed the pool and your site. Sorry about the problem with the electric hookup. Glad we were able to get it fixed for you quickly.

Happy Camping,

We were pleasantly surprised by the very friendly people who run this park. They went out of their way to be helpful to us.
The park is very clean with everything we would need.
We really like that there was a shuttle bus to take us downtown.
Overall nice experience.

Stayed for 4 nights in May. Good size campsite. Nice green grass. Loved the doggie park. Also the field by the dog park was covered in fireflies, it was breathtaking at night. Somehow one of the little buggers hitched a ride home with us and we see him buzzing around the subdivision looking for a mate(sorry, not gonna happen). Great smiling pool and the kids loved all the activities. The Ice Cream Shoppe is wonderful. Only negative I can see is internet wasn't the greatest. Also, I reviewed some of the bad reviews just to see what I had missed, I agree wasn't a lot of channels on the TV but to be honest I don't go on vacation to watch TV. I can't say enough about the bathhouse and laundry. Both impeccably clean.

Thanks for your review on TripAdvisor. The fireflies are beautiful at night. Internet is sometimes a challenge especially when too many folks are eating up the bandwidth. We recognize how important WiFi is to everyone and each year we do our best to improve the connection. Your compliments will be passed onto our housekeeping staff as they are the ones who work hard to keep the restrooms clean for our campers.

Hope to see you in Nashville again!
