The hotel is in a prime location to Vandy and downtown. There is adequate on site free parking. The hotel lobby was clean. The employee checking me in was efficient and explained the wifi and grab and go breakfast. Don't expect them to be friendly but they get the job done. The hallways were clean. The hotel appears to be remodeled fairly recently with a current color scheme. The room was clean. The floors (hard surface and carpet) appeared to be in good condition. Bathroom was clean. Heating worked well. The windows open. There was a cigarette smell when the heater fan kicked on but nothing unbearable. The wifi is open so I chose not to use it but it is available and free. The bed was clean and firm. The pillows were too soft and very uncomfortable. I recommend you bring your own pillow. The shower sounded like a jet engine running and the wall vibrated behind it and behind the faucet when the shower was running. We didn't complain to the front desk regarding this and the shower worked it just sounded like a pipe was going to blow up on the other side of the wall. The towels were HORRIBLE. It was like they had been dried on nuclear heat and turned into sandpaper. Bring your own towels. This is an extended stay hotel so there is a kitchenette pots pans etc we didn't use any of that but it all appeared to be clean. We paid 109.00/night to stay here. The location is great but I wouldn't recommend paying much more than 109.00 for this hotel.
