“Not Horrible But Not Amazing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 26, 2014

We just were here for one night. The location isn't bad, the staff was friendly. but you get what you pay for. It's not a big deal but there was bananas in our fridge and garbage left in the garbage can (a spoon, straw, etc.) The room itself was okay. Loved the space, and the little kitchen! Just needs a little more cleaning and TLC. We would stay again.

I recommend this lodging if you are staying in the Vanderbilt area of Nashville. It is less than 10 minutes away from the medical center and is one of the best values in that area. The rooms are clean and there is plenty of self parking (quite rare in this area of Nashville) . The room was a little noisy but that was due to another guest above us. They offer a grab and go breakfast and the rooms have a full kitchenette

Definitely overpriced. Less than helpful staff (except for Andrea), and they weren't very friendly. The "fully equipped" kitchen they advertised didn't have enough in it to serve a meal if we wanted to. There were no cups or glasses, no tissues in the bathroom. The television remote had no on/off button. Weird hotel brand--they don't make up your room or give you fresh towels. You have to go to the front desk, turn in your dirty towels and pick up new ones. When we did that, they had no clean ones to give us. If someone in the hall closes their door, yours rattles. Definitely not what we expected. We checked out early and sought out new accommodations for our last night in town. I must give them credit--the room was clean.

Elizabeth - Your review for our hotel was recently brought to my attention. I’m pleased to learn that our level of cleanliness met your expectations. Also, I’m happy that Andrea provided you with exceptional customer service. Still, I’m disheartened to learn that you were disappointed with our fully equipped kitchens and maintenance. Please know, our housekeeping service is provided once a week for guests staying 8 or more nights. For those who are staying for shorter periods of time, services can be purchased for a minimal fee.

I met with our entire staff to review our maintenance procedures. In addition, your feedback regarding our fully equipped kitchens will help us in our efforts to continually improve the hotel. Again, thanks for the comments. We would love to have another opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the near future.

Disgusting in all respects especially for $174/night. Rooms are tatty. TV awful. Can't believe they get away with this at these prices. Couldn't wait to get out. Hotels.com should not even list this. It tarnishes their reputation. Will be asking for a partial refund. Didn't dare touch the breakfast. Too nervous. Only redeeming factor was that it was close to Vanderbilt that we were visiting.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your stay with us. It upsets me to hear that our normal cleaning standards were not met during your stay. Also, I’m disappointed to learn that our offerings such as our free grab-n-go breakfast and flat-screen TVs inside our suites did not meet your expectations. I recently met with the entire staff to review our cleaning procedures and maintenance policies to ensure your experience is not repeated.

Again, thank you for the feedback. We would love to have another chance to provide you with a better experience in the near future.

Stayed a couple of days here.

Overall this place is very forgettable.

Yes the location is A+.
The kitchenette is nice to have.
But when my 11 year old daughter is flipping through the channel's and sees people screwing, I am not happy. There should be some kind of warning or way to block showtime or what ever it is.

Did not know it was my job to check for porno on the TV.
Next place we go, I will check out the channel lineup before giving up the remote.

We arranged for 10 days to accommodate our daughter's knee surgery, made reservations well in advance, and even called to confirm that all was set. Based on the web site we expected a fitness room, laundry room, free breakfast, coffee and wifi.
At no time did the website or the hotel itself disclose that they were under construction with remodeling. This would have affected our choice radically, since we were there for recuperation from the surgery. There was no apology or anything from staff when we checked in to find this situation.
We had arrived 20 min, before check in and they basically said, "We can check you in, but you need to come back after 3 to get in your room," Really? There was not even a place in the lobby to sit down and wait. We went grocery shopping and came back,
Loud beeping noises awakened us early the next morning, making us think there was a fire. No, just construction going on, Thumping and extremely cold elevators were also a feature of this and the personnel seemed at a loss in general.
Grab and Go Breakfast? Not if you want to stay healthy, Nondescript, watery coffee was offered in the front lobby.
There was no fitness room and the front desk was incredulous that I thought they had one. You see, in very small print on the web site it says "in select locations," and evidently this was not one of them. Nothing I saw informed me of that so I had packed my shoes and workout gear for nothing.
The instructions stated that our cleaning day should be indicated on the key envelope card, but it was not.
Be aware that although they say that they have dishes, the cups and bowls are very small. I had to raid the coffee bar down in the lobby for cups big enough to make my hot cereal in, Be prepared to buy dish soap (you get a tiny packet) and paper towels (you get one dishcloth and dishtowel) and I highly recommend getting paper plates,
On the whole, a very disappointing experience, and it will never see us again.

Room Tip: Um, one not near the construction? The up side is they are updating the rooms, and although I don...

I stayed for 4 nights but I would not stay again. The bed had hair on it and one of the shelves in the kitchen cabinet was broken. I need every day cleaning service but the hotel policy is to give full service only if you stay 7 or more days. I did not like the Grab and Go breakfast. I like to stay at Residence Inn and this was my first and probably last experience with Extended Stay America.
