“College tour road trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We had a great stay ! We paid for the concierge level which included breakfast, 7-9am hot eggs and bacon, potatoes , bagels hot cereal and cold cereal and fruit. sodas all day and 5-7 pm one hot appetizer and fruit and Cheese plate. 7-9 pm cookies hot tea and coffee. The website said there was a mangers reception Wednesday night but there wasn't. So they offered us a free movie in the room. The ladies running the lounge are super sweet and make you feel right at home. Free business center which is nice.
They have a shuttle service to local attractions but on a night that it was crowded we waited an hour and a half for a pick up and had to call a cab. The location is great! Parking is not great you have to park in a garage and walk over to hotel and its $32 a day to self park.
It's right across from the parthenon which is fun to visit.

It has a really great location but what pleased and impressed me the most is the attention to detail and friendliness of every single person who worked there. I have never, and I travel often, been greeted with kindness and helpfulness from everyone like I experienced here. I've stayed in several different hotels in Nashville but from now on, this is my top choice!

Room Tip: A room that faces the park is so lovely!

The Marriott at Vanderbilt in Nashville was a great stay! Vanderbilt behind the hotel, the Parthenon in front and great shopping and country music just minutes away. Ask for a view of the stadium from your room if you are a sports fan. Great views from the 6th floor and up! Great restaurant and bar with music on the weekends.

Room Tip: View of Vanderbilt Football stadium from rooms facing the rear of the building. Ask for a higher fl...

Business trip with a seminar on the BL level. Stayed two nights, the front desk staff was very friendly and offered great dining options. Actually, everyone that you came across was very friendly. The shuttle is free and an excellent amenity considering downtown fun is only a mile or so away, our driver was informative and pleasant. Excellent comfort in the beds and bedding, rooms very clean. The seminar fed us each day and the food was very good, brisket and fried chicken, and I've never had a better boxed lunch!

Just to update my review from almost 2 years ago...this property keeps getting better! Because of the perfect location, I have used this property many more times for my training seminars & every aspect of what I commented on 2 years ago has improved. Kudos to Marriott Vanderbilt!

I have stayed at this hotel many times due to its location. However, after staying there for three days recently - I will work hard not to stay there again. The price was what got my attention to begin - jacked up to over $400 per nite because of events in the area. Let's be clear - this is NOT a $400 per nite hotel. The rooms are old and the hotel is tired. The mattress was old and lumpy. Room service was cold and without proper utensils - another wait. After using my keys once to go to the consider get lounge, it no longer worked in my room. Luckily this has happened so many times before at this hotel I got additional room keys up front. After leaving my room at 7am and not returning until 3 - my room still wasn't cleaned and there were no cleaning staff that spoke enough English that I could communicate with. Assured of having cabs available in the am for an early flight, I arrived to the valet where there were no cabs, no valet and a front desk person who was clearly annoyed that I needed his help to get a cab. Lots of things adding up to a bad experience, with a sting of price gauging.

Great character, excellent staff, clean and convenient. How many hotels can you go to bed looking out at the parathion and enjoy breakfast looking out over a beautiful football stadium?

Loved the hot cider offered on cold nights and live music in the first floor bistro. The workout facility was small, but well-maintained. I loved my short runs around the parathion across the street and throughout the Vanderbilt area. I want to come back just to take advantage of the bikes.

Downers were the added $35 per day for parking and high taxes. We found the open hours of the Concierge Level lounge on the 11th floor different than the posted sign. The lounge was closed after breakfast (bummer) and open for breakfast on the weekend (yeah).

The fact we received our room 30% off through Priceline definitely sweeten the experience. Marriott Rewards Members get free Wi-Fi in rooms. Definitely pays to join (it’s free).

Room Tip: Higher the floor the better for either view of football stadium or parathion.
