“Wonderful hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2006

We came to Nashville for a basketball game at Vanderbilt and spent a long weekend. This hotel was great. Clean, modern, staff that was helpful and responsive. The shuttle took us downtown to eat, picked us up, took us to the game, and picked us up again. Even with all the traffic we never waited over 15 minutes. The driver was friendly and very helpful. The breakfast is GREAT - no one could ask for more. The parking garage is very close quarters but that is to be expected in a downtown area. We will definately stay there again.

We stayed for a long weekend at the embassy and loved it! The place is beautiful. We loved the made to order breakfasts and free drinks at night. My only complaint is that the shuttle service doesn't last later than 10.

okay on weekend, but they filled it with school-classes on sunday night. If you like a devastadet lobby full of teens and dominoes pizza boxes and you love to see, how noisy a nine floor lobby can be in the night, this is the place. For just $ 129 plus $ 16 parking fee you can make the experience.Complaints about the noise (while working on the computer aside of front desk i heard a lot of them)were ignored.

Staff is desinteressed: we left a cardigan at the breakfast table, asked for it at the front desk in the evening, they didn't have it. The breakfast waiter next morning brought back from the front desk in 2 minutes, he had delivered it there immediatly morning before. Housekeeping in our room was done around 4 p.m.

Family of five stayed one night at the ES in Nashville. We got a suite with 2 double beds plus a pull out sofa in the living room.
When we arrived, tired after a long drive,I asked the bell boy to please ask housekeeping to come up and make the sofa bed so my son could go to sleep. Also asked for a 5th bath towel as only 4 were provided.
An hour later,no house keeping had arrived.Called front desk and repeated my request and was told it would be taken care of immediately.
Another half hour and the sofa was still unmade.
Called again to the front desk and was told that housekeeping had gone home for the night!
I asked to speak to the duty manager who promised immediate relief.Sure enough 2 members of staff came up with sheets, pillows and the extra towels requested.Handed me the whole bundle and went for the door!
I had to explicitly ask them to stay, open the sofa bed and make it as they were intending to leave it at that!.
Wife had a heartburn so called room service and asked for a glass of milk and a pot of coffee.Apparently room service is the steakhouse just off the lobby.30 minutes later got a glass of milk and a thermos of coffee and a charge for $16! Apparently a "pot of coffee" is equal to 3 cups of coffee and that is what I was charged!.
Went down for a late dinner at the steakhouse as we were too exhausted to go out.Restaurant was nearly empty but service agonizingly slow - nearly 40 minutes from order taken to entrees served!Place was freezing cold (air conditioners way too strong) and our request for mercy was shrugged off/
Kids never made it for their main courses, just fell asleep before they arrived,I battled through the meal with my eldest daughter after my wife retired with the 2 younger kids.Staff never offerred to reduce the bill or asked why the the table had dwindled down as the evening went on!
Breakfast buffet was atrocious - no fresh vegetables.dishes were dirty, not enough room for the number of guests so buffet looks a mess and tables and dishes piling up faster than the staff can clear them.
All in all - a good facility with poor management and staff - would try to avoid next time.
Not a good representative for the Hilton Brand.

We spent a couple of nights at this hotel during the CMAfest. The place is gorgeous! Breakfast was outstanding & they had a stocked bar with munchies every evening, free of charge! The only area where they could improve is to have the free shuttle run beyond the 10:00 p.m. limit when people are in town for concerts that run beond that time. The help was very courteous & the hotel was immaculate.

Just returned from a three-night stay with our whole family (both parents and four small children) at the Embassy Suites Vanderbilt. The hotel was wonderful. Everything was immaculate. Our oldest child turned eight on our last day at the hotel. He proudly announced his birthday to the staff at the desk. They immediately congratulated him and gave a small gift not only to him but to his three younger siblings as well!!! The whole staff was so nice and everyone paid so much attention to the children. One of the maids even gave each child a penny to throw in the fountain with the incredible two-story waterfall! The two-room suite was plenty big for the six of us, and the made-to-order free breakfasts were such a treat-- the pancakes are to die for. My only complaints were the steep parking fees and internet fees! The spa is really nice, would be even nicer with some murals like the ones we have seen at some other Embassy Suites. The service was top-notch, even when the hotel was absolutely full. We were thrilled with our experience at the Embassy Suites Vanderbilt, and are already planning to stay there again for our next trip to nashville, just a couple of weeks away.

The Embassy Suites in Nashville, on Broadway is an awesome place to stay for the price. The staff cannot be beat for professionalism and for their commitment to guest satisfaction. The rooms were clean with attention to small details. And finally, the breakfast is the best served of any hotel I have stayed in, (and I just got back from a trip through several states where I spent 10 nights in different hotels). I highly recommend Embassy Suites!
