“nice place, fairly close to downtown”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 10, 2014

The hotel is nice, clean and has an excellent breakfast. They also have a convenient shuttle to the downtown strip. The rooms are small but clean and nice and the staff is friendly. I felt that it was overpriced but we needed a room that could accommodate 5 people.

Stayed here for 3 nights (16-19 May 2014) with my husband. The hotel is about 20 minute walk to the bars and water front at Nashville, up however the hotel has a free shuttle which runs daily and picks up for returns up until about 11pm. We went to see Bruce springsteeen at the Bridgestone arena so very handy and great value.

Room was clean and spacious with very comfortable beds and we slept well. Complimentary breakfast was typical US style but great omelettes coked to order. Free drinks in evening from 5.30pm for around 2 hours which include wine, beer and some cocktails and spirits.
Staff are very helpful and this is a good location, just off Broadway with plenty of bars amped eateries locally (the area seems to be developing its own little nightlife). Cheaper than many less equipped hotels downtown. The hotel is a bit dated and a make over would be welcomed.
Overall great value and no negatives to raise. I would and do happily recommend this hotel. Forgot to say separate small lounge with fridge, microwave and sink. All very useful features and 2 TV's, one in bed area and one in lounge. Finally free wifi too.

Stayed here during Country Music Marathon weekend and was very pleased. Location is within doable walking distance of the touristy downtown areas, but smack-dab in the heart of excellent restaurants/bars frequented by locals & college students. Accommodations were excellent (& quiet with very comfortable pillows), friendly staff and included breakfast was amazing.

We spent a most enjoyable week at this Hotel and it was Excellent in every way.

The Suites are super and spacious and the beds are very comfortable indeed- there are two good sized flat screen TV's in each suite so you can watch one channel in the lounge area and a separate channel in the bedroom.

Add to this that the staff are always pleasant and helpful and that stems from the staff at Reception through to the Valets, drivers and the staff who provide the cooked omelettes through to those who set up and clear the tables. The Room are cleaned to perfection daily and the hot water at the tap and shower is instant and you never suffer with cool showers in peak times.

The hotel is very well furnished and it has most excellent quiet areas if you want them. There is a boarding pass printing facility which has a one click link to all major airlines. There is also a business centre where you can use the computers and printers and the copier and that is all included as part of the Complimentary Services.

There is a Superb Complimentary breakfast served every morning and there is a vast array of hot food including cooked to order omelettes [they were excellent by the way] as well as cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts, juice, pastries coffee etc -you could not ask for a better start to the day.
One tip though -Our American friends are not great tea drinkers and so do not understand that water must be 'boiling hot' to make good tea, so adding a tea bag to the 'hot water' provided in the breakfast area will NOT make good tea BUT here is what you do- Make the tea in your room -Pour your water into your cup [two are provided in you room], put it is the microwave provided in your room [above the fridge] and press the beverage button once and it will auto start. When it stops the water will be boiling but the cup can be removed without burning your fingers, add the tea bag and stir, then add your milk and you will have perfect tea. The hotel provides you tea bags and half and half milk pots but you can get fresh milk at the breakfast area if you prefer it.

In addition to this, the Hotel provides a Complimentary Shuttle service that will take you and collect you from anywhere within 2 miles of the hotel -how good is that?? The young valet drivers were all so very pleasant and deserve a couple of dollars tip each trip.

Now if all that was not enough, the Hotel Management provides their guests a 2 hour Complimentary Drinks and snacks reception every evening between 5.30pm and 7.30pm. There is a choice of two different beers, all the usual 'well' spirits and mixers and wine- brilliant!

The Omaha steakhouse restaurant and bar on site was also very good and reasonably priced. There are plenty of bars and places to eat locally too if you prefer that.

If you need some basic provisions like bottled water or beer or snacks etc, there is a mini supermarket a couple of minutes walk away [come out of the hotel, turn left and first left and first left again, past the red door saloon and it is up on the right after about 500 metres.] You can keep it all cool in your 'in room' refrigerator too.

It is in a great location for visiting Nashville and less than 2 miles from Down.town Nashville-The Bars on Broadway [Roberts is great but if you want to go into Tootsies, get there by about 10am or it is just too full], Country Music Hall of Fame [do the Platinum trip for $40 which includes RCA Studio B tour], Johnny Cash Museum [this was excellent too] and the Ryman Theatre [The Country Classics night is also a MUST] and take the HOP trolley bus which allows you to hop on or off the bus throughout the day for $20 so you can get around a 13 mile loops and see the Parthenon and other interesting sights -these are just a few of the spots to visit.

A taxi from the airport to the hotel is about $26 plus tip and about the same price to Opry Land. A visit to the 'Grand Ole Opry' is a MUST, as well as Opry Mills [for all the great outlet shops] and also we recommend that you go on the General Jackson riverboat trip- lunch or dinner includes a river trip and a great show for about $68.

When you stay at a place like this, you should always let others know through 'trip advisor' -our stay was great -thank you Embassy Suites Hotel!!

Had a really nice stay at this location while in town for business. The hotel was immaculate, and the rooms were clean and ready for an early check in.

One tip... Check the schedule for Whiskey Jam, located a block or so away. The concert was really loud, and made for a rough first night. If the concert occurs while you're there, just go enjoy the show.

Great breakfast in the mornings. Just about anything you could want (why did we go to the Pancake Pantry and wait 45 minutes??) for breakfast. The rooms were nice with a living room area although the bathrooms (ours anyway) was a little small. We had a King or Queen suite. not sure of the size. The hotel was quiet. It is a little ways from downtown although we did walk it a couple of times (we are not walking type people by the way) and it wasnt too bad. The guys (and gals) up front are great about dropping you off downtown or other area and giving you their phone number when you want to get picked up. I can't say enough about how conscientious they were. We would stay there again.... Chuys is across the street!

Spectacular service all around....front desk, shuttle service, nightly reception bartender, breakfast cook....The staff were all very accommodating and friendly. Hotel is 1.5 miles from downtown, but shuttle will drop you off very close to all the action so proximity to downtown is not an issue at all. Consistently good experience, as expected from an Embassy Suites hotel.
