“Nice hotel, great location, parking not so good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2013

Hotel is very nice. Clean and spacious rooms. Staff was friendly. I had requested a room away from the elevator, and they initially gave me one directly across from the elevator. But I went right back down and they gave me another room. Housekeeping a bit late (didn't clean till late afternoon). Carpeting recently replaced. Breakfast was very good if a bit crowded. Location was great... walking distance to Vanderbilt and a short drive to downtown. I would stay here again.

But caution: there is an extra $16 per night charge for parking, and the spaces in the garage are VERY narrow. There are large support columns every two spaces, so be careful when you open your car door! Many people parked such that they took up more than one space. Fortunately, the week we were there, there weren't that many cars. Also, the dropoff area can accommodate maybe 3 or 4 cars. And you cannot enter the garage until you've checked in and gotten your room key. So plan ahead if you are arriving at peak check-in times. No stopping on the street in front of the hotel.

Room Tip: Large atrium is where the breakfast and evening receptions are held. Ask for higher floor if you don...

This hotel was great for our family vacation in Nashville over the New Year's weekend. While a little outside of downtown, the location is still convenient. The neighborhood is safe and there are a number of restaurants within walking distance. We flew in from NJ and did not bother renting a car - the free hotel shuttle took us to and from most of the sights that we were interested in. For anything outside the shuttle radius, the hotel found us a wonderful driver, Marshall, who took us to the auto museum and the airport for a reasonable fee.

The hotel staff was very pleasant, especially for a holiday weekend. The place was hopping.

We have stayed at a number of Embassy Suites for family vacations and have never had a bad experience. We can always count on good service and good value, especially for a city location.

The location is perfect for a stay in Nashville, a short 15-20 minutes ride from the Nashville airport

Free shuttle to the downtown area ( about 6-7 blocks )

Great bars / restaurants around the hotel too ( see my other nashville reviews ) there are at least a dozen places to go all within walikng distance from the front door. Plus another 20 plus places in the downtown area ( via shuttle )

Free breakfast made to order every morning / free managers cocktails party nightly 530 pm to 730 pm

Great place we will be back for sure

Pretty typical Embassy Suites which is a good thing. This hotel is in a great location, walking distance to Vanderbilt U. and easy short drive to downtown. Room price was comparable or better than many other hotels in area and you get so much more here - large true suite - great for families , good breakfast and of course the afternoon reception. Only beefs were (1) the workout room was small and the two treadmills broke down, leaving only two other machines for the whole hotel, and the adjacent indoor little hot tub wasn't too exciting, (2) even though its free they need to do better on the liquor brands offered at the reception - really low grade stuff. We would stay here again on another Nashville visit.

Just a few minutes from the music row area of Nashville, great location. There are several excellent restaurants within a very short walk (a block or less) from the hotel. We ate at Soulshine Pizza and Chuy's Mexican restaurant and would recommend them both. We also enjoyed cupcakes from Gigi's across the street from the hotel. The room was a good size and clean, and quiet. Be careful when parking, garage had pillars in almost every space which makes the openings narrow... but they are probably average. The staff is friendly and helpful. We have 5 in our family and we made use of the pull out couch in the suite, which was quite comfortable.

I stayed here last March for the beginning of the NCAA Tournament to see the University of Cincinnati Bearcats play. We needed a hotel that wasn't very expensive, still nice and close to Broadway. I was blown away by how nice this hotel was and would recommend anyone staying here again. The free breakfast in the morning is by far the best breakfast I've ever been served at a hotel, the free happy hour at night was another added plus. The rooms were nice, the beds were comfortable, the weather was nice and it was perfectly fine to walk from the hotel to Broadway, use the shuttle Embassy Suites provided or even take a cab (it was less than $10). Great hotel and I continue to try and stay here anytime that I plan on coming to Nashville.

This hotel is located on Broadway right in the middle of the trendy West End area. You have so many wonderful restaurants within walking distance of this property. You are only blocks away from the downtown honky tonk scene...but need a cab, too far to walk. 5 minute drive maybe. Rooms are very clean, nicely appointed and spacious. Updated and looks new. Very beautiful lobby and breakfast area. Huge wall fountain to enjoy while having the free evening appetizers & drinks (unlimited), or the wonderful breakfast buffet each morning. Best hot breakfast buffet I've seen in an American hotel. Really enjoyed being there!
