“Another Great Stay at the Drury”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2011

I was traveling with my mother and my 4 yr old son to the Nashville Drury Inn for family business. I have stayed at the Drury a couple of years previously but since then, they have remodeled. I booked a 2 room suite w/2 beds. The suite had a lot of space, two 37 inch LG LCD TV's, a mini fridge & mini microwave. The decor was nice and room was very clean. The bedroom area had 2 full beds which I wish they had an option with 2 queens. I had the breakfast on 2 days again just wich they would serve it a little later in the morning (as my son doesn't wake up very early!) and we had to rush down before they took the food away promptly at 9:30. The soda and popcorn in the afternoon is great! We didn't get to enjoy the evening reception since we were out of the hotel all day, but sounded great! The property is very safe as the parking has a key operated gate on it and the lobby does also after hours. The price I thought was a little high but if you take advantage of everything the hotel offers then it is a good value.

Stayed here for one night before driving back home from our 10 day tour of the mid-south. A bus load of folks from Canada had been unloaded as we arrived. But they had thankfully finished checking everyone in. Our check-in was quick, but could tell the front desk folks were frustrated with some issues that must have arisen from bus load. But they were courteous to me anyway!
Room was very nice and above expected. We had a one bedroom suite with 2Q. Really nice layout. New granite counter and nice bathroom. CLEAN! Big area by door so could haul all of our stuff in easily. Room was clean, but a bit air stuffy on arrival. So turned on fans, but didn't quite get the temp we were looking for. But nothing uncomfortable, either.
They offered a light dinner, it was a Mexican theme that night, so we weren't interested. When we came back from a dinner out, there was still time to get our free complementary drinks, three per each adult in room - per day of stay!!! So, we grabbed our three margaritas and went to the pool area to watch our kids. Now, not big drinks - plastic cups. But hey - FREE! Pool area well kept and pool was fun for kids because it is one of those indoor and outdoor pools where they swim under a divider to get outside.
They offered the typical breakfast with scrambled eggs and make your own waffle and donuts, etc. Because of the bus load of folks, we decided to go out. But my husband walked through to grab a donut and coffee. He said it was the typical stuff and they were working hard to keep up with the number of people from the bus tour. Would probably have been a more enjoyable stay for us if no bus tour. But not hotels fault for bus clientele. And despite the large number of people in hotel, our room was very quiet!!

I really enjoyed this hotel -- friendly staff, great pool, very clean, all at a nice price. My family is large so with two rooms, it was still affordable. I believe other reviews are accurate, but I do want to point out that while the breakfast and happy hour foods are included, they are just very average hotel fare. My family tries to eat healthy on the road and it is pretty difficult to do with the food served. I would like to suggest more available fruit and cereal options at breakfast if at all possible!

We were touring Nashville on Apr 16 for 3 days and stayed here. Very clean, nice updated rooms, breakfast and kickback very nice and the staff all excellent. I have stayed in 4 star hotels this month and this Drury Inn really surpassed my stays in those places. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and I would definitely stay here again.

It wasn't a romantic get-a-way hotel, but for families with pets/children, it can't be beat!
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite, which was perfect for a little privacy.

The pool/spa was indoor, the parking was ample, and the rooms were nice.

The 5:30 kickback is the best! Drinks and food did not run low and the staff was 100% involved in making sure that guests were happy and satisfied.

I highly recommend this hotel chain. In fact, I just booked another stay with Drury Inn for a trip to Birmingham this weekend.

Room Tip: The 2 bedroom suite is awesome!

Very nice hotel. Clean with nice bed linens and towels. The breakfast buffet was adequate, nothing exceptional. We arrived too late for the 5:30 KICKBACK.
We stayed here one night while we were traveling. I had made advanced reservations online which offered a low "esaver" rate. I choose this hotel because it is pet-friendly. Unfortunately, when we arrived there were THREE busloads of jr.high/high school aged kids swarming in the lobby, running up and down the hallways and stairwells and overrunning the pool. The room across from our was "party central" and the front desk was quick to respond when the noise and commotion continued past 10:00pm. We will stay here again on our next trip through this area but I will ask first if there are any school groups scheduled to be there at the same time.

Pros: very comfy bed, great pillows, friendly staff, convenient location

Con: the room smelled as if it had been sprayed heavily with cleaner or air freshener.

In all fairness, we probably could've asked for a different room but we were too exhausted to bother trying. We regretted this a few days later when we still felt like we were tasting and smelling that scent.
