This was a one-night stay on a road trip. I made the reservation a couple weeks ahead of time and selected this hotel based on the location and the reviews. We had driven 10 hours that day and were ready to relax. Too tired even to go out to dinner as planned.
The Hyatt Place Nashville Airport was heavenly. No exaggeration. It was so easy to find, parking was easy and the room and staff were out of sight. The moment we walked in the staff were on top of things. This is the best smelling hotel I've ever been in--Like flowers and fresh air. Our first impression was in line with the rest of the stay---wonderful!
The guy who checked us in was professional and personable. There was a mistake with the spelling of my last name in the computer/reservation, but he rolled with it and it didn't cause any problems with my credit card being used. He offered us several floor options and recommended the quietest room.
The room was wonderful. We had a King room that was really like a suite. There was a sofa that folded out into a bed, a really nice TV, a sink (sperate from the bathroom), desk and computer station. We ordered a movie, kicked back on the sofa and took advantage of the 24/7 made to order food. The menu is limited, but there is something for everyone. It beat going out and the price was reasonable. The bed was like a cloud. I did not want to get out of bed when the alarm went off. And the pillows...mmmmmm! The only drawback was the light in the bathroom (which included the shower and toilet; the lavatory and mirror were seperate). It was really dim and I would have liked more light in there. But seriously, that is the ONLY thing I would improve.
Breakfast was delicious, hot and the variety was great. The coffee was really good (not too strong, not too weak) and the staff made sure it was fresh. They had hot food and cereals and fruit, etc. Everything for a hearty meal of eggs, biscuits and gravy to yogurt and juice.
Everything was perfect. For $150 we had dinner, breakfast, a movie and the most comfortable room ever. It's the best value I 've gotten on lodging! Nashville will be our stop-over on future road trips and this hotel will be our go-to place!
I highly recommend it!
