I have been to several Brazilian Steakhouses in different states and was really looking forward to taking my boyfriend there for his birthday. I had talked it up so much, we couldn't wait to get there. And then we were there. It is a very small restaurant on a side street, but had no problem with finding a parking place on the street. Once we were inside, we were greeted and shown to our table. Then we entered another attached room for the "salad bar"! To my surprise and horror, there was a very basic salad offering and nothing was labeled from salad dressings to dishes. One had to guess as to what it was and one of four offered salad dressings was a red affair which looked and felt like strawberry jam. I had no idea what it was, nor the white dressing which I thought might have been ranch but wasn't. They had a lettuce bowl, spinach leaf bowl and a couple of appetizer dishes which were a mystery. I took what I thought might have been cucumber salad, but found that it was chopped up Granny Smith apples from the taste. Ok, salad bar....bad. And there was no one around the area to ask what was what. And we had to go to an anti area for the salad plates. Ok, return to the table and here come the fellas with the different meats. We had our green side up. No extra plate for the meat! What? They wanted to put it on our salad plates! So I asked for the waiter to bring a clean plate for the meat. He brought us another supper size plate instead of a side plate. Ok, then the waiter said he would bring out our side dishes:a small rice and bean bowl, a potato bowl, a yucca plant bowl with two small pieces about 3 inches long and a fried banana dish about the same size! What? That is not the manner of other Brazilian Steakhouses which I have had the pleasure of wonderful meals!
One of the meat courses was a beef rib. I don't know about you, but ribs are eaten with ones fingers. No wipes offered! When excusing himself to go wash his hands, my birthday boy found that the soap dispenser in the men's room was not functional! The bacon wrapped chicken was so dry it was left on the table uneaten. Needless to say, we didn't stay for dessert or an after dinner drink. We were extremely disappointed in this restaurant and would not recommend it to anyone. It definitely was NOT worth the $40 a person price they ask. I actually felt embarrassed for the people working at this place. And of course, because of their poor delivery and offering, it killed the occasion for the both of us.
