Progressive in every sense – cuisine, wine & mixology, stylish design – Kayne Prime is the modern evolution of the classic upscale steakhouse. Market-driven, farm-to-table creations.. sophisticated cocktails.. an exceptional wine list.. award-winning steaks - all set in a “rustic–modern”, “Best Design” interior that features a sleek study of woods, rich leathers, and walls of reclaimed railroad ties, with breathtaking views that highlight the historic train yards, Union Station, and the downtown Nashville skyline. “Nice Menu With A Twist”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 10, 2014

We really enjoyed our meal, but the only negative was that we had a 9:45p dinner reservation, and when we got to dessert they said we couldn't get anything because the kitchen was closed. Really? We just wanted anything sweet at that point, and they said there was nothing available.

With that aside, here are some of the things we loved:

-Cotton candy bacon (must get)
-Tuna with jalapeño appetizer (we got 2!)
-Black kale salad
-Wagyu strip

The side dishes were great too - mac and cheese, brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, and creamed spinach.

“The special bone in NY strip steak was a $90 - It was a 20 oz Wagyu steak which had about 10 oz of sinew.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2014

My husband is a German butcher and wanted to try their special steak. . We told our very attentive and professional waiter, Guy, about our dissatisfaction and he showed the plate to the lead of dinning room. He said that they appreciated the feedback. My husband said that all the sinew should have been trimmed. In addition it was not a New York strip, it was a rib eye. NY strip has a T bone. This had rib eye bones. There was no apology except from the very gracious waiter and none from whomever was heading up the floor team that day. In retrospect we should have asked for a price reduction since the steak was totally unsatisfactory. The rest of the meal was fantastic. We did send an email that evening to the restaurant and have not gotten any response.

“Immaculate”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2014

Everything from the valet to the menu layout, waiter, cocktails were nicely done. Their house bacon is topped with maple cotton candy and as thick as a steak. It was a well rounded dining experience.

“First visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

The restaurant is well appointed and staff excellent. Service was slow and steak over cooked for ordered temperature. Would have returned steak to be redone in this quality steakhouse, but had to get to Grand Ole Opry for show. Vegetables outstanding. With this visit experience , would have to go to Bob's Steakhouse in Omni Hotel instead.

The service is always good and the steaks are always consistently great. You have to try the cotton candy Bacon.
