“Great Location!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

We drove down to Nashville for just 24 hours to go to the Colts vs. Titans game. We booked the hotel about 2 days before the game so we unfortunately had to pay quite a high rate for the night we stayed. I felt crazy for paying so much for one night at a Holiday Inn Express. The location was perfect though. Just a couple blocks from all of the action. We were able to walk down the street and go out to the bars and enjoy ourselves in the evening. Check in was quick and service was great. Explained about the local attractions and restaurant recommendations. Even had a shuttle to the stadium. Super close to it! Helped us with any questions! Would stay again, hopefully for a lower rate!

Just a note for all my fellow Trip Advisor's,
Always upon making your Hotel reservation ask for the final total
We were quoted $114.00 for a overnight stay at the Holiday Inn Express
Upon checkout we were charged:
$10.55 state tax
$ 6.84 occupancy tax
$ 2.84 City occupancy tax
$20.00 Parking per day folks
Came to $44.74 more than we were quoted over the phone
Brought this up to the young man that morning and he just kind of did a "ho hum" thats the way it is.
This place was not as nice as most Holiday Inn Express's we have stayed at. Carpet stained main lobby and stains in our room.
So always remember when traveling to the "Music City" make sure you have your boots on, because the government down there appears to think the Civil War is still going on strong.

we stayed in this hotel on a blues trail tour and it stood up well to some of the more expensive places we stayed at previously. rooms were clean and had all the necessary toiletries, coffee makers, towels etc. Breakfast was included and apart for the plastic cutlery was good with plenty of choice and no queues. the location is perfect for walking downtown and the free Internet service was welcomed.The only downside was the 20 dollar a day parking fee. Staff were helpful and friendly at all times and a problem with the bath plug was quickly fixed once reported.

We had a great experience in Nashville! I would say the staff here were more than accomadating and very knowledgeable.
The only suggestion I would have is updating the pool area and possibly adding a bar to it.

Room Tip: Ask agent on phone for the best area to meet your needs.

Stayed here this past weekend with 4 girls for my Bachlorette party. It is right on the main strip just a couple blocks down. Very convenient. We stayed on the top floor and the rooms and bathrooms looked to be recently remodeled bc a couple reviews I read beforehand commented that the rooms were old and moldy and this was not the case at all. The staff was very friendly and held on to our bags bc we got in town too early to check in. They called us cabs when we wanted to explore other areas of the city not just downtown. On Saturday evening there was fresh popcorn and cookies in the lobby. They offered a continental breakfast but unfortunately we didnt get up early enough to take advantage so I cant comment on that. The flaws were we had requested a cot at booking and when we checked in and still had to call down to get the cot as it wasnt in the room. When they dropped it off they knocked on the door and left it in the hallway for us girls to drag in. We also didnt have our room cleaned the two days we were there eventhough we didnt leave a sign out saying do not disturb. Found that odd but when we called down for fresh towels they brought them right away. For quick trip with plans of mostly staying on the Broadway strip I highly recommend this hotel

We had a great room with quiet air conditioning.
Most of the staff were pleasant and friendly, but I do object to taking second place to a phone when I have waited in line.
Maybe I should have just called with my question.
breakfast was cooked as well as cold foods, in a large dining area. Staff were great and very attentive to our needs.
The hotel run a free shuttle in the downtown area but be aware that " a few minutes" meant over 20 minutes on both occasions we used it.
The is a basement car park for $20 a night.
Our one big concern was the fire procedures when the alarm went off at 3 am
1 the alarm did not go off in the room so we barely heard it.
2 part of the fire procedures in the room were to ring the desk. We tried for some time and could get no reply.
But otherwise we enjoyed our stay.

This is the third year we have had our annual conference here. They have perhaps the best staff of any hotel I have stayed at regardless of price. The front desk, the ladies that clean the rooms, the guy with the towel carts, the guy changing out the food and seeing to our needs at the conference.....all were very friendly, courteous and pleasant. The rooms are probably in the average category due to age of the hotel, but the beds are comfortable and the rooms come with a refrig and microwave, so I gave them a very good rating. It has a stadium style meeting room with very comfortable chairs and a larger level room. We split our sessions between the rooms and I spent all of my time in the larger room. We also had our meals and our receptions in there with live music. We had a number of vendors in the hallways, and in a third room as well as a few around the outside of the larger room. Parking is minimal...some covered and some open. If you arrive early for a meeting, before that day's guests have checked out, you might have a hard time finding a place. I have not had a problem any of the last three years though. Morning USA Today papers are available in the lobby, along with apples and three (I think) computer terminals. Public bathroom was very clean...although it could use a privacy guard/panel for entry so as not to expose those already in there! They have a very helpful shuttle van that will take you anywhere within a mile, or maybe two. Though you can hear tvs as you walk down the hall, I did not hear anything once in my room. This is across from a Arts Museum, Union Station and LifeWay. It is walking distance down to the bars and hole in the wall music venues.

Room Tip: Higher floors for some view..lots of buildings around, so not a lot of view, but some.
