I love the grilled cheese sandwich. The food is good and hearty. I recommend City Limits if you're in Bellevue.

“Great cafe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2014

I had lunch at CLC today and it is still as good as when it first opened. Great soups, sandwiches, breads, salads and desserts and coffees. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

“Great little place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

This is a little soup and sandwich shop near a residential area. The food is excellent, with freshly baked breads and homemade soups. They also have good salads, coffee, cookies, etc. This place is very popular with local folks and is a great place for lunch.

“2 bad first impressions”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2013 via mobile

Went for lunch and breakfast on two consecutive days. We thought breakfast looked interesting on the menu, but both times the food was just ok.
The lack of service stood out. As first timers asking about the restaurant we were not made to feel welcomed. The staff quickly resumes conversation after we order and pay. One lady chewed gum in the prep area and returned a stack of coffee lids to the counter to be used after she accidentally knocked them to the ground behind the counter.
Somehow they managed a high score on their most recent health inspection. And the atmosphere was good.
2 chances to make a good first impression is generous. We won't be back.

“Reliable, affordable, friendly”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2013

We meet at City Limits about once a month, and the food is always fresh and good. They bake most of their own breads and pastries, the soft drinks and tea and coffee are refillable, and there are none of those flimsy disposable plates and cutlery. We like the music and the fact that we can move tables and chairs to accommodate our group when it's largish.
