“Great Location in Music City”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013

Nashville is a great example of Southern charm at it's best! A prime example was our combination waiter/bartender/tour guide, John, at the Hotel Indigo. It seemed as if he would do anything to make our stay as good as possible, from making great Bloody Mary's at breakfast to cheerfully getting fresh eggs, to recommending the best venues to explore. Thanks Johnny!

The hotel itself was quiet, clean and well-designed; in addition to being well-situated to enjoy easy walking distance to all the hot spots. If you can't have a good time here, you can't have a good time!

Room Tip: Ask for quiet room

Hello there Sowljazz from the Hotel Indigo Nashville. First, thank you for the kind words about John, he is really an amazing source of knowledge, and like you said, he certainly captures that true southern charm. It sounds like you had a wonderful time here in our beautiful city, along with our beautiful hotel. Safe travels on all your future journeys, can’t wait to see you again down the road! Kim

My husband and I met friends for brunch before a titans game. John our server was most excellent. He made us feel more than welcome. He makes the best Bloody Mary I have ever had. I highly recommend planning a trip to Indigo hotel on Union Street for a great brunch. Be sure to ask for John.

Well, howdy neighbor! Thank you DebP for the kind review, isn’t John the best? Nothing beats a bloody mary on a Sunday morning.. well, a bloody mary followed by a Titans game can certainly top that! So happy to hear the locals are discovering our brunch, make sure to come around after the game, the fried chicken will change your life! Can’t wait to see you next Sunday, Go Titans!

This was very close to downtown. We walked back and forth from the hotel about twice a day and our stay was four days long. Very clean and updated, but great touches to the building's history. The staff was always friendly and willing to help. I would absolutely stay here again. I had read good and bad reviews, but I have nothing bad to say about it at all! Also, the staff had great advice for places to eat.

Four girlfriends (50ish) went to Nashville and stayed at the Hotel Indigo for the weekend. Pros: Perfect location to TPAC (TN Performing Arts Center) where we saw "Jersey Boys." Short walks also to The Hermitage where we had a fabulous dinner inside at the Capitol Grill, to Broadway Street where everything is happening, to Wild Horse Saloon (you can take some line dancing classes) and to the Big Bang - a fun dueling piano bar. We had a wonderful breakfast at 417 Union just a block up from the hotel. The valet guys had our car to us in about 2 minutes.

Cons: Only 3 towels each day for a room of 4 adults--had to call each day to get more, ice machine on alternating floors, no mini fridge, a/c was a little quirky.

Suggestions: Why can't all hotels have lighted makeup mirrors, extra mirror over a desk and more than 1 luggage rack in a room that sleeps 4?

We would stay at Hotel Indigo again for the price and location.

Room Tip: We were on the 4th floor and could hear some traffic, not bad, but a little higher up might have bee...

Hi there VickiA from the Hotel Indigo Nashville! It sounds like you had a fantastic girls get away! Nashville is such a great town for that reason alone. Thank you for your feedback, I will make sure to personally address the towel count with our Housekeeping manager. I am thrilled to hear you and your ladies had a wonderful stay with us, maybe this can be the beginning of a “girls getaway” tradition! We would love to host you and your girlfriends the next time you visit Nashville. Safe travels, Kim

Here's what's pretty great!

Front Desk Staff - Friendly, Helpful, Good Problem Solving Skills

The Rooms - Spacious, Comfy Beds and Linens, Great Towels, Odd but Inoffensive Furnishings

The Bar - Lively, Cozy Chairs, Live Music Some Nights

Valet - Friendly and Efficient

Here's what's pretty awful!

Front Desk Staff - Unfriendly, Flustered, Poor Problem Solving Skills (Requests regarding our reservations - due to late arrival - were honored and confirmed on the phone two hours prior to our check-in. However, at check in there was no record of said requests.

Housekeeping - Just wow! Took two days to get an oily footprint (someone else's) cleaned off of the headboard. One day, of a three-day-stay, the room received no service whatsoever.

The Restaurant - Food looks good but tastes like you wish you were eating somewhere else.

Fitness Room - Spare and Outfitted Poorly

The Wifi - Spotty

Room Tip: High floors are much quieter than rooms on the lower floors...and have some lovely views.

Overall we had a good experience at Hotel Indigo, but not great. They've done a nice job of turning an old bank building into a hotel. Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable, but there was a constant clanging in the wall, either from a hot water pipe or heating duct, that was pretty annoying. Fortunately, we were able to drown it out while sleeping by running the furnace fan. The bathroom was very spa-like and had terrific water pressure; however, there was mold growing in the corners. Windows also need a good cleaning as they were filthy and covered with cobwebs. Location is a few blocks from where all the action is on Broadway which was certainly convenient but a bit troublesome to climb up hill after being on our feet all day.
