“Close to LP Field”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 11, 2014

The convenience of being so close to LP Field made the Ramada our best choice. While we made reservations already to stay there again next year during the same event, I must be honest and say that the hotel looks a little run down. Since that is not a priority for me, I choose to focus on the location and convenience portion and will gladly stay there again.

it is located very handily to the downtown area. It had a decent breakfast. All the staff I had interactions with (desk clerk, maintenance, housekeeping, breakfast lady) were extremely friendly and helpful. My only negative is that is very dated - the rooms paint color was a little much and it had a small TV. But again... LOCATION: GREAT / STAFF: GREAT.

If you like swimming in warm water, don't mind bugs in your room, and aren't really particular about cleaning, this is the place for you. The evening staff was very helpful and pleasant, and the hotel was only a mile from downtown, which was a nice walk, but......not worth the price. Especially when you add in having to pay for parking at a hotel you are staying in.

Room Tip: If you stay here, DO NOT get a room overlooking the pool. While it is convenient to go to the pool...

You could almost feel the craving and clawing of up and coming band members just trying to get their shot at making it big. The struggles of staying alive while trying to "make it"... It's infused in the walls and overall hotel aura. It's a fancier dive hotel.
Price is relevant to personal experiences and expectations, for us it seemed a bit high for the quality, but then, you gotta pay for all that electricity to keep cool, so it was worth it!
Might want to tie a ribbon to your door, because the hotel is so big and all the rooms and hallways look the same. If you're easily disoriented or if you're coming back from Honky Tonkin' on Broadway (which is great fun) then you could get lost in this big place! It was a bit of a walk from downtown, but not unmanageable. Nice weather and a foot bridge across the Cumberland helped get us home.
It is right across the street from the Ball Park, so if you're a Sports Fan, this is a good hotel for you!!!
If you like quiet and elegant, then I would suggest another location more suited to your expectations. If you like moderate to noisy and require dark sunglasses, aspirin, and coffee in the morning... Well, you've found a good hotel for that!
Easy access to the freeways and to/from the airport! We found ourselves a waffle house just down the freeway, which was easy to get to, but during rush hour morning traffic, a bit trickier getting back from.

Also, if you are looking for a good burger experience to go with your stay here, I recommend Rotier's: http://www.rotiersrestaurant.com/
