“Long weekend”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

My wife and I stayed at this hotel 4 nights in late July. Overall we were very pleased with the property and the service, with just a couple notes of concern. One area I was not expecting was how compact the hotel is on the property and the overall lack of space for parking at check in. We arrived late afternoon on Friday, and the area by the parking valet stand was loud, crowded and frustrating with several vehicles, motorcycles and people. After a long day of travel, and being in a new environment, it was disconcerning and frustrating. However, the valet and the front desk clerk were both fantastic, helped us through the chaos and we were soon in our room relaxing. The other concern was the televison reception. We were unable to get several channels, one of which was the local ABC affiliate. I talked to the front desk and they sent someone up to look at the TV while we were out. When we returned, we had the ABC channel, but not the others. However, the next morning (my wife loves Good Morning America), the ABC channel was gone again. I fiddled around with the cable behind the TV and was able to get it back, but needed to mess with it a couple more times during our stay.

Besides these two inconvienences, our stay was very relaxing. We especially appreciated the shuttle service downtown. The drivers were always friendly and helpful, many times providing recommondations on things to do and see in the area. We ate breakfast in the hotel every morning, with most days having oatmeal, muffins and fruit. We thought the food was good and the price decent.

We will be back to Nashville for another long weekend soon, and will certainly consider a repeat stay at this hotel.

cmprbill,

Thank you for staying with us recently! First off, allow me to apologize for the inconveniences you experienced during your time with us. The wait time you experienced for valet is not typical by any means and i'm sure that was not the most welcoming of experiences. We will be sure to look into solutions to prevent this from happening moving forward. Also, I remember the time frame in which we were experiencing problems with ABC, however am happy to inform that this has been resolved :). Thank you so much for your kind words in regards to the staff. It is great to know that even with the parking experience and abc problem you were still able to leave with glowing reviews on the staff and service. We would love to have you stay with us again! Please keep us in mind next time in town, and thank you for your review on us.

We just stayed here for one night when we were passing through Nashville on a vacation. The staff was very friendly, and the rooms were clean and spacious. We felt they were very reasonably priced compared to some of the other Nashville hotels.

I was recently staying at this property with my fiancé and I had a wonderful experience.Everyone I came in contact with was so friendly and professional. I first met Edward at the bar and he is someone you want working for your company. His positive attitude and friendliness makes you want to come to the bar to have a drink or bite. I then had the pleasure of meeting Brisa at breakfast and she was so professional and has a smile on her face all the time. I spent the last 15 years working for another major hotel chain and I know how important it is to train your employees and it starts from the top. As we used to say with my old hotel company, if you treat your employees right, they will treat the customers right and in return will see the customers come back. So, thank you for a great stay and to the General Manager who is running this property.

During our (a grandson and myself) three night stay at this property, we experienced a high level of friendliness from all the staff. I would like to mention three people in particular: there was Chelsea at the front desk, Aimee in the eating area, and Dan Rowe from the business office. They added greatly to our stay there.

Our stay was fun. The Hotel was ok. The Valet Department was amazing. They were friendly and consistent with great service every time we entered or left hotel ...especially Ferious and Adam. The other departments had some good employees but service was not friendly and consistent every time. There was also an unpleasant odor by elevators, lobby, and bar area that needs to be corrected.

EDCDBC,

Thank you for taking the time to review us on TripAdvisor. I'm glad the valet attendants took such good care of our. However, I'm sorry to hear that there were inconsistencies in other areas. This is not in line with the level service we provide historically. In regards to the sewage smell, while we did experience a foul odor for a short period of time that odor has since been remedied. I'm very sorry that this impacted your stay. We would love to have you stay with us again and show you how great we can be. If you are ever planning another trip to Nashville please keep us in mind. Thank you again for your review.

The bed is very comfortable, internet works somewhat slow. The curtains were not adequate to keep the room dark. The staff is very professional and courteous. Parking is very expensive ($23-27/night). The restaurant is good for breakfast - not too bad a price - $8 for the cold side, $11 for cooked. The location is right next to Vanderbilt, so very convenient. Good restaurants in the area.

Falcon1981,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your recent stay with us. I'm very sorry that we were not up to our standard during your visit. Per our previous reviews we pride ourselves on providing extraordinary service to our guests. In regards to the parking, while we do charge you will find we offer parking at lower rates than that of our competitors. Our beds are adjustable which allow our guests to chose their comfort level, anywhere between soft and hard. They can be located on each side of the bed. We also offer two internet speeds based on your needs. The increased speed might suit your needs better.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your experience and please accept our apology that your stay with us was anything less than stellar. We do hope you come back and try us again.
