“Location and Southern Hospitality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2010

Visited Nashville for a friend's wedding in September 2010. I received a discount on the rooms because of the block for the wedding. The hotel is perfectly located near all of the important, downtown Nashville activities (Country Music Hall of Fame, all the live music bars on Broadway). Our room faced downtown although there are some rooms in the hotel that face into the central atrium, which doesn't seem worth spending the $250 plus per night. Our room was split into two rooms (living room with desk, pullout sofa, television, mini fridge and coffee maker). What was strange is that they didn't stock the mini fridge!

There is a large sports bar and a smaller, more upscale bar on the main floor. Although I didn't swim in the pool, my friends who did said that it wasn't anything terribly exciting. The staff was always accommodating. We received an email from the concierge asking if we needed anything before our arrival. I definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for something a little nicer in the downtown area.

Stayed at the Hilton for the 3rd or 4th time this past weekend. Love the hotel, great location, walking distance to the Ryman, 2nd Street, football stadium, everything in the downtown area. This time I had a room across the street from the Bridgestone Arena (no show going on). We stayed 3 nights and each night there was extremely loud music coming from one of the nearby honky-tonks(Broadway?). One night it lasted until 3 a.m. (got louder as the night went on). I could actually sing along (no problem making out what song it was). There was an upstairs patio at one of the bars on Broadway and I suspect that was the culprit. I had never had this problem before so I think it was the end location of my room. My first room was on the 9th floor and it smelled so smokey I had to request a change (it was a no-smoking room). Next room was on 7th floor, almost directly below the first room. Love the hotel's location, but would definitely ask for room in another location next time.

We stayed here for 3 nights. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful!! The breakfast was very complete with lots of choices. Our suite was very nice with plenty of room. The sports bar was fun but we also enjoyed the quieter lobby bar - unfortunately it wasn't always open. The location for sightseeing was great. Right across from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and around the corner from Ryman Auditorium and 1 block from Broadway.

Once again we got the package deal for Brewfest tickets and suite. Last year it was a handicapped suite which was a bit odd since most of the suite was taken up by the huge bathroom. This year the smell of smoke was overpowering and i just about felt like buring my clothes once I got home, and I SMOKE! Complained to the front desk and the snide gal handed over the managers card and said he will be back tomorrow. I pushed the card back at her and said a lot of help you are. She then asked me to leave her station. Anyway it's a bit of a crap shoot and dive but the location can't be beat. There is a Hampton Suites a block away I think we will try next time. Oh by the way, the toilet didn't flush without some encourgement, and the tub would not drain during my shower. On the bright side the air conditioner worked great, swiriling around the heavy smoke unfortunately. Uggh

I stayed at the Hilton Downtown the last week of July (Monday through Friday) while attending a conference and related business meetings. The meetings I attened were all in the Hilton, and the conference was housed in the Nasville Convention Center which was less than a block away. The Hilton is located next to the Bridgestone arena, so very convenient for events held there (concerts, etc.).

The room was very nice. A suite, actually (office/living room, bedroom and bathroom). Only drawback to the layout was that the desk/office area was right next to the entry door (I prefer the desk to be away from the door and near the window). My room overlooked the interior of the building, which is an open courtyard. Only downside is that privacy is a bit limited with the interior faciing rooms (so the drapes stayed closed most of the time).

Since I arrived a bit early, I kiiled some time in the business center. Two computers and the one I used had a flaky keyboard (which I reported to the front desk, so hoefully they fixed that). The fitness center was smallish. Three treadmills and 3 or 4 oliptical machines and some weights. But enough to get a little exercise.

I ate in the sports grill in the hotel lunch the first day. Good food, good beer and good service.

There was a saxaphone player providing entertainment each evening in the main lobby (she was quite good) and the acoustics in the 10-story lobby were amazing.

The meeting rooms were very nice and the support staff was very efficient. The food served at the meetings was excellent. No issues with any of the AV equipment.

We were crossing the country and decided to stay few a few days in the Nashville area and explore. The downtown Hilton is in the perfect location with the Country Music Hall of Fame across the street, beautiful park in front of the hotel, and stumbling distance from the honky tonks on the strip. Our room was beautiful, clean, with a great view of the city and everything you expect from a Hilton Hotel. Will be staying here again my next trip to Nashville due to the location and staff. All were exceptional!!

Booked the hotel through the touist informationoffice on the AL/TN border. It was as good as we expected. Handy for down town Nashville, abit expensive but what the hell you only die once. There are inside rooms with out a view so beware!
