We spent two nights at the Hilton (27th & 28th April). We has two rooms on the 7th floor with views of the Country Music Hall of Fame.

We arrived at approximately 2:30pm, expecting a potential short wait to a 3:00pm check in, but at 5-00pm we were still waiting. Eventually we were given one room and told that we should all go up to that room with our luggage and they would send the key for the second room up in ’10 minutes’ – guess what, about 30 minutes later the key arrived!

I was very disappointed with this as it wasted an afternoon – if we’d have been told the wait was going to be so long we could have gone out and returned later – but communication was not good.

I was told it took so long due the my request (made months in advance) to have two rooms on the same floor.

Anyhow, as for the rooms, they were very spacious and clean – but the furnishings were a little dated (although the bedding was more ‘modern’).

The location of the hotel is great, right next to the Country Music Hall of fame and a short walk from Broadway.

We ate in the bar on one evening and the food & service were very good. We also ate breakfast at the hotel on one day – we had the buffet which provided an excellent selection.

I would stay here again as the location is perfect.

My husband’s company hosted a conference at the Hilton in Downtown Nashville. Our suite was spacious, clean, and the bathrooms were well stocked with Crabtree and Evelyn products. Our room had two double beds and a separate living room area with a desk. The location of this hotel can’t be beat. We were only a short walk to many attractions including the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Ryman Auditorium and, of course, the legendary bars on Broadway (Legends, Tootsies, The Stage, etc.).

A word of warning: This is a large hotel. If you have the bellman deliver your luggage, make sure everything is there before he leaves! I made the mistake of not checking and ended up with two of my bags missing which were dropped off in someone else’s room by mistake. The bellman who made the error found one of the bags immediately and was very apologetic and clearly embarrassed…the bellman I dealt with the next morning had a “not my problem” attitude and never bothered to follow up when he couldn’t (or didn’t try to) find my stuff. The missing bag didn’t turn up until I made an appearance at the front desk. Not the worst that could happen, I know, but annoying none the less. I was just grateful to have my stuff back!

Also, check your bill carefully before leaving. We were charged $20/day for valet parking that we never used!

We are travelling with 2 small children and it was important to have a bedroom with seperate living area. This hotel has this which is great. It's as close to the music scene as you can get. Feels a bit corporate but provides a swimming pool(which I think is still closed!!!), fitness centre and very helpful staff. Rooms are clean. Breakfast is great. Best we've had on our 8 week tour. Hotel does B&B deal if you go to them direct. Hotel was able to provide details of good babysitting service - nanniesofgreenhill.com. Very good.

We went to this Hilton on Nov. 16-17, 2007 to do some Xmas shopping and just to take a break. This Hilton is really nice. The lobby is large and impressive and the check-in desk was prompt and efficient. Our room was a suite that included a full sized couch, chair, computer desk and coffe table in one room and our king size bed in another room. Very nice. The bathroom was large and had granite/marble countertops. You are just steps away from all downtown Nashville has to offer and we walked to Delmonco's the 1st night. This is a great steak house that offers a lot of food at normal prices ($15 $20 per entree). The next day we went to the Green Hills Mall and shopped and ate in the Cheesecake Factory. If you have never been, be prepared and come on an empty stomache. My husband ordered the chicken fingers and there were 18 pieces!! The menu is a book that offers all kinds of food, with so many desserts it unbelievable!! We had the Godiva Chocolate Brownie Sundae, definately order just one for two people. It was as great as it sounds. When we returned to the hotel, the concierge recommended we walk to the corner and eat at Merchant's, a fine dining restaurant that has ties to Al Copone. It was very nice, but expensive. Try the lobster bisque. Delicious! After that, we went to Tootsie's and the Wild Horse Salon. Both mornings that we stayed here, we ate at the buffet. The food was great and the choices expansive. The only complaint is that the waiters were not very friendly and did not check on us that often, which was strange since only a dozen or so people were eating both times we went down to breakfast. Overrall, this was a great hotel and I definately would stay again!

This hotel is conveniently located downtown. It is within walking distance of most of the touristy places and nightlife.

The hotel was pretty nice. We had a few minor issues: slow drain, so-so expensive breakfast buffet, and a very rude concierge.
