The Hilton is a BIG hotel. The lobby is big, the drive way is big and they have big meeting rooms. The lobby bar is great and they have live entertainment all the time. The rooms were clean and the bathroom is roomy. Broadway street is ten feet away so you wont get lost at 3am coming home from the bars. This place is a thousand times better that the Sherton, THAT hotel is the disgusting!

The Hilton Nashville Downtown has a large inner courtyard with many rooms facing inward. As some rooms face each other, the lack of privacy means that curtains need to remain closed for much of the time. Also, there is Muzak most of the day and an annoying flute/saxophone performer during drink hours (just the time I wanted to nap before a long evening out). Needless to say, the windows don't insulate from sound all that well.

The exercise room is an afterthought - long and narrow, with just enough room to walk by the treadmills. A few weights and an under-inflated exercise ball (50cm?) was at one end, but there wasn't enough room to lie flat for upwards press or ab exercises.

Skip this hotel.

I stayed here during a trade show in Nashville. Packages were delivered here to my attention but the front desk did not notify me. I found out about the packages after I had already left, upon which I called the front desk, gave them my FedEx # and asked them to send the packages to my office. I arrived back at my office a week later but NO PACKAGES!

Regarding the room, the bathroom design is ridiculous - towels are stored IN THE SHOWER - which guarantees all the towels will be wet. Street noise is loud (even on the 7th floor) unless you have an interior facing room. The price this hotel charges for internet access is ridiculous.

On the plus side, the valet guys were superb.

Stayed two nights here for the Nashville part of our road trip holiday. Excellent location between the main street and the Country Music Hall of Fame. Very large hotel, usual pricey but efficint valet parking. Clan and comfortable room. Service OK for a Hilton but not outstanding. Vast entrance and one o those hotels where many rooms have inside pointing woindows. Fortunately ours didn't. Busy breakfast but efficient service. This hotel is perfectly good at what it does but has no 'highs' compared with others we stayed at.

We stayed in the 2 double bed suite for our annual girls weekend. The room was comfortable, modern and very clean. The bathroom was adequate with excellent water pressure and fluffy towels. We found the beds to be the best, super comfy with high quality linens. Despite the proximity to Broadway, our 3rd floor room was very quiet with little street noise making its way into our sleepy time. The location was great, easy walking distance to everything we wanted to see and do. The service from all the hotel personnel we encountered was excellent; very friendly and prompt. I would stay here again, however I do feel the rates are too high especially since there are no special extras such as turn down service or robes/slippers. We did not use any of the hotel's amenities since we were out honky tonking all day and night...isn't that why you come to Nashville :)

Room Tip: Request a room at least higher than the 4th floor.

My fiance and I stayed here this past April, and we could have not been happier with the location. We were able to walk to everything, and it was right around the corner from our favorite 3 story hangout, Honky Tonk. Upon arriving at 2:50pm (check in was at 3pm) we were left in the lobby to wait until 4:30pm before we were able to receive our room. It was a bummer since we were anxious to get our short vacation started. The reception/front desk was not apologetic, and seemed to care less. It was pouring the first day, and since the rooms did not come with umbrellas, a nice young man named Mike offered to check the lost and found for us to see if there was an old one lying around that we could use -- he found one, and it really helped us that night. Thanks, Mike! I would stay here again due to the location, but because of the poor service, there are other hotels to stay at with just as great of a location, and probably a cheaper rate.

Room Tip: Great location.

When you are paying over $300 a night you expect a great hotel. This one, unfortunately, was very dated and worn. The bathroom was a disaster a toilet that was the loudest I ever heard and took a long time to fill. A slow draining sink with such a small counter there was no room for my things. The tub was dirty and worn that you could feel the indentions from use. The towel bar was rusty and rust was on the floor. It was a very large bathroom with way too much floor space. There were signs of wear and tear throughout. I will say, however, it is a great location if you plan to spend most of your time in the district. The concierge was also very helpful. The kicker was the $100 fee because I needed to leave a day early.
